~Halfway point between School & Downtown; Hearing-impaired friendly

Welcome to Greenbriar Village, situated in the scenic hills between Barbur Blvd and Macadam Ave about halfway between Lewis & Clark and downtown, with majestic views of Interstate 5 and the Willamette River.

The good: Great value for the size and quality of the apartment; less than ten minutes to either school or downtown; the kitchen is spacious and updated (but could do with more counter-space); management and maintenance are very responsive and friendly; the grounds are well-cared for; there's a variety of restaurants and bars within a short distance; I have a view of the Willamette and Mt. Hood from my balcony; there's a sauna near next to the seasonal pool; decent closet space.

The bad: Complex sits directly adjacent to I-5, where the traffic never ceases and the ambient noise can be disruptive; I hear too much of what my downstairs neighbors do in their bedroom (but not as much in the rest of the house); way too many speedbumps.
