Good space, management problematic

While management has changed over the two years I have lived here, I would not recommend this apartment building because management is disorganized. Pros: shuttle to Pentagon City metro; maintenance team is responsive and kind, office staff are generally helpful, good amount of space for the rent price in the area. Cons: lot parking is NOT guaranteed (when I had evening classes in person, I rarely found a parking spot); management still hasn't given me a copy of my original lease although I asked three times; they didn't keep a set of master keys to my apartment so those had to be remade; they didn't publicize or do much at all to help residents who requested deferrals and other rent relief during the pandemic.

Great Value and Effective Management

Overall, the Wellington on Columbia Pike is a great value for what you are offered. With your rent, 2 parking spaces are included, which is almost unheard of in the DC area. The management is kind, quick, and effective. I have been living here for 4 years and absolutely love it.

info

When I first moved into the building it was great. Now every other day the doors are broken, people leave their trash every where, there's parties and loud screaming every weekend. It's just become an unpleasant location.

Nice place to live

I enjoy living at the Wellington. There are plenty of buses that travel up and down Columbia Pike and it is a nice, safe neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store. There is also a library, community center and a movie theater that has comedy on the weekends!

Columbia Pike Reviews

Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
Quiet and residential. A little ways from any restaurants or grocery stores, but there's good bus transport and Capital Bikeshare nearby.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
Lots of stuff nearby, including grocery store, coffee shops, movies, restaurants, fast food, diners. Convenient to walk to some of these places.
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
It is safe and has growing businesses, but sometimes can feel removed from university life and more blue-collar.
Safe and friendly neighborhood. On a busy street, so the neighborhood is mostly behind the complex. Even then, the suburb behind the complex is small before you hit another highway. Very easily accessible by car, not very much by metro. Also, that accessibility comes with the cost that things do not feel very walkable in most directions. Living here almost necessitates having a car.
