Rating of Camden Roosevelt

Camden Roosevelt is a very nice place to live! Although expensive, its top tier amenities and lobby decor are unmatched. The surrounding neighborhood is both quiet and close to many popular areas such as the U St corridor and Adams Morgan. Management is very pleasant and helpful. My favorite amenities are the on-residence gym and lounge areas (includes communal pool table)

Camden review

The Camden Roosevelt has great amenities and a really great location. And the maintenance/service is pretty wonderful - any problems with the apartment and maintenance will come and sort you out withing 24 hours. It's a bit pricey but comparable to other apartments in the neighborhood.

Great building and location, but a little far from campus

The apartment is in a great location with good access to Metro, buses to downtown, and is very close to lots of bars and restaurants. It is right near U Street Corridor and 14th Street/Logan Circle area. The staff is very nice, and there is 24-hour concierge service. The only downside is that there is no easy way to get to GW, since the closest metro is yellow/green and the bus stop right outside goes to McPherson Square.

Camden Roosevelt

Great building - a lot of good amenities including a very nice gym. My rent rate may not be typical. 16th st bus line makes it easy enough to get to school though it would be nice to be a little closer to a metro stop.

Camden Roosevelt

I live in a 900 sq foot 1BR. Walk-in closet, excellent hot water and water pressure, unsurpassed amenities, and I love the location.

If there is a unit available in the building, and you're looking, you should absolutely consider this building. I couldn't be happier.

Camden Roosevelt

An excellent building with a beautiful lobby and incredible amenities. Great location right off the U street corridor and adjacent to Adam's Morgan. I could not be happier with the building. The apartment itself - 792 sq feet including a walk-in closet and a HUGE bedroom.

Great location

Great location, could use more amenities like a rooftop. But other than that it is a fantatsic building with great staff. The management team works to help with your needs and/or complaints. Like I mentioned before I could use a swimming pool and a rooftop.

Camden Roosevelt

A beautiful early 20th century building that has recently been restored. The apartments are spacious and nicely decorated. The amenities include a gym, a club room, a conference center and the wine cellar. The building does not have a pool or a rooftop

U Street Corridor Reviews

Very vibrant part of town, with a lot of young professionals. There is a lot to do in the neighborhood from restaurants, bars, and even workout studios/gyms. There is so much within walking distance, and there are two metro stops also within walking distance. It is very convenient especially if you are a Howard student. You really couldn’t be in a better neighborhood than U Street corridor and the Shaw District.
Love the restaurants on 14th and the availability of bars in my neighborhood, however the U st bars have creepier people than the bars in other parts of the city. Also my phone was stolen at Tropicalia. Don't go there.
There are not many grocery stores nearby, but there is a great Chinese Restaurant down the street. The neighborhood is probably one of the safest places in DC.
Great parks, restaurants, and bars nearby. Also close to several supermarkets, coffee, shops and a metro station
Shaw // U St is a great place to live. Tons of fun bars and restaurants nearby as well as great shopping.
There are a bunch of restaurants and bars in the area, so that is a major plus. The area is also right next to Meridian Hill Park, so you have easy access to a lot of outdoor space. Depending on the exact location of the building, there can be a lot of noise, but the area is overall safe.
Although, noisy, the U street corridor is by far the only place I'd want to live in DC. Yes, the area is in serious need of some parking garages but between the convenience and amazing nightlife this area has it all.
Love Shaw, feels like a neighborhood but with plenty of fun things to do & very close to everything you would need. Access to public transit while not too far from VA or GW.
