Great Place For Starting Out

From day 1 the management company has been exceptionally helpful and friendly. They always respond to needs in a timely manner and communicate changes in policies, holiday office hours, etc effectively. Overall, it is a good value for the area, but the buildings are a little dated. There is also considerable variation from apartment to apartment in terms of amenities, layout, etc, so be sure you see your exact apartment before you sign the lease. They have a great pet policy. Parking is available but expensive so most people opt for street parking which can be difficult at times depending on what time you get home. Overall, great experience.

Best Kept Secret

Nestled right besides the woods, Park Crest is the best kept secret in Glover Park area. 1 block from the D1 & D2 bus stop that goes right into Dupont Circle and another 10-15 minute walk to lots of great shops/restaurants and bars. Glover Park is a great community to live in! Especially if you have pets. :)

Safe Neighborhood

This apartment building provides a great safe location in DC. The only con is that the only public transportation nearby is the bus, which runs at odd hours beyond regular commuter hours. If you have a car, you should pay for a parking spot. Street parking is extremely difficult past 8:00 PM.

Good apartment, decent location

The Glover Park area is a tricky one- it is about a 15 minute walk to any store/bar so while the apartment was nice, the location could have been better. The management company is responsive. The unit is nice, on the small side, but was the cheapest in the building so I can't complain too much.

Park Crest

While it might not be within walking distance to a Metro (there are buses that'll take you there with close stops) it more than makes up for the fact with the proximity to great parks, trails, and the quiet neighborhood that is Glover Park. Prices are reasonable and the staff are kind and attentive to residents' needs. Good restaurants and grocery stores are easily within walking distance. Also, Georgetown is minutes away. The D1 and D2 buses run to Dupont Circle about every 30 minutes as well. Overall, it's a nice place to live and I'd definitely recommend it to others looking for a quiet place to live with great outdoor options.

It's also very pet-friendly!

Park Crest at Glover Park

Great management company and between the square footage of the apartment and the proximity to the city without being in the heart of everything (you know, sometimes you just want some quiet) this is where you will get the most bang for your buck! . . .

Getting around Glover Park

Glover Park Reviews

58 reviews
The neighborhood is very quiet and seems to be family-oriented. There are always people out on a walk. Everything seems to be very safe.
The only downside is poor public transportation access. There are no metro stops nearby. There is one bus (D2) right outside, which goes to Dupont Circle. Buses like 30, 31, and 33 are also accessible by a short walk. Not bad overall, but can make commutes somewhat long.
I love Glover Park. It is much more neighborhood than city. Wisconsin Ave has a good selection of restaurants and shops in walking distance. It's about a mile downhill to Georgetown University. Coming home, that mile is uphill! Decent bus service, no metro service at all. Uber has it covered very well.
Glover Park is an extremely safe area. It has tons of food options along with basically anything else you could need. The downside is it is not near any public transportation and the cost of living is veru high. It is extremely popular for young adults to move their after college graudation. Definitely a young, fun enviroment.
Glover Park feels like a small town in a big city. Full of quiet side streets that are great for walking/running. I feel very safe riding my bike to campus, to DuPont, to Georgetown, etc. It's a mix of students and young families, so I feel very safe.
Excellent neighborhood, quiet and close to short trail walks that take you directly into nature. Although there is no metro, there is a well-connected bus system. Trader Joe's and Safeway are both not too far and school is a good walk.
Safe area, walking distance to necessities, not a lot of noise, mix of young professionals right out of college and young families, decent amount of restaurants
Cozy suburb within DC. Lots of young families so neighbors are nice. Nice restaurants in the area, but not a very lively nightlife per se.
Easy access to whole foods, fast casual restaurants, good bar scene (Town Hall, Mad Fox, Bread Soda), Monday night trivia at Bread Soda!
