Really nice that all utilities are included in the rent payment, rent went up by 4% after one year, it seems to be about that for every year. Maintenance is extremely quick and attentive, we have had a few mice throughout the year and some roaches, but pest control is pretty quick. Parking is a bit pricey but probably expected for DC apartments, it’s about $200 for indoor garage parking, and $170 for outdoor parking. Two bedroom two bathroom is really nice, and we have a very spacious living room, and plenty of light. The kitchen is also good enough for our use, enough counter space, feels a little bit cramped with two people but not too bad. We have enough space for a large dining table and it’s easy to host friends. Very close to Wisconsin Avenue and the neighborhood is quiet. I have had a few problems with upstairs neighbors being too loud sometimes but they have kids so it’s kind of unavoidable. Whole Foods is really close, Trader Joe’s is about a 15 minute walk. About a 20 minute walk from the school but there is the Wisconsin Ave shuttle that comes every 20 minutes or so and is about a five minute walk from the apartment.

A fair experience for my first single apartment

This was my first single apartment after moving to D.C. It had its fair amount of positives and negatives. The apartment is definitely more spacious than most, except for the restroom. There is plenty of storage space, the air conditioning and heating unit works well, and the building feels secure. I have an outdoor parking spot which I have not had any problems with. There has not been any pest issues. Overall, the quality of the apartment is average. The paint work and flooring is not great, if you're looking for something more clean and modern. Lighting is on the dim side so I purchased 4 lamps in the first few months of living here. The walls are thin so you can hear neighbors in muffled voices, but if you don't mind a little background noise here and there, it's nothing major.

Affordable, surprisingly spacious, responsive mgmt, and close to GU!

Studio apartment that is surprisingly large with a weird alcove space that kinda doubles as a small extra room right before the bathroom. LOTS of storage with one large closet, one medium closet, and one small linen closet. Kitchen is fully equipped. Lots of light from a wall of windows, but it doesn't reach all the way across the apartment - I keep my office space right near the windows to make up for it. Facilities is very prompt on service requests and all of the staff are incredibly friendly. Mini gym in the basement, rooftop space as well. +$50 for pet fees (cats are allowed, dogs with special accommodations). Right near a Trader Joe's, Safeway, CVS, with several restaurant options nearby. Very close to Georgetown campus. I moved in at the peak of COVID so I haven't made friends in the complex, so can't really speak to the social scene that may have been the case in the past? Not really social now. Right next to the Russian Embassy so super safe.

Love it here

Great apartment, close to Wisconsin (bars, restaurants, grocery stores). Walking distance to campus (15-20 minutes). Not as much storage space, but pretty spacious layout.

Well run apartment but expensive

I've enjoyed living here- it's quiet, close to campus and well run. Any maintenance issues are quickly resolved. However, they have increased our rent each year by a significant amount (~$200/month increase with each lease renewal).

Getting around Glover Park

Glover Park Reviews

Great family-friendly neighborhood with a lot of parks and green space. Downside is the lack of public transportation (no metro nearby). Lots of grocery stores and restaurants nearby and clean and safe environment.
I like this neighborhood, but it is quiet. If you are looking for a bustling DC experience, Glover Park is probably not your neighborhood. That said, for two grad students during a pandemic/insurrection, this has been the perfect spot. It's quiet, out of the fray, but I can walk to Dupont in about 40 minutes.
Glover park has everything you need - whole foods, safeway, CVS, great take out (dumplings and beyond), dry cleaners etc. It is very clean, neat and safe. Lots of busses are right there, but takes a little longer to get downtown since the metro is not right there. Overall though, I love glover park!
Glover Park is the ideal living situation for families and young professionals. In the neighborhoods off of Calvert, there is vitually no noise. There are lots of parks and wooded areas to go on walks, but a 5 minute walk to Wisconsin Ave will give you your choice of restaurants and nightlife.
Fantastic neighborhood to live in. Supermarkets, restaurants, parks, and gyms are all closeby. Only problem is it's on a hill so walking uphill could be a lot on some days
Very clean, safe, a little bit more suburban than urban, but downtown isn't far. Lots of parks and greenery. Grocery store is a good 15 min walk and everything is walkable, but not super close. Overall, I loved living in this neighborhood.
Excellent neighborhood, quiet and close to short trail walks that take you directly into nature. Although there is no metro, there is a well-connected bus system. Trader Joe's and Safeway are both not too far and school is a good walk.
Glover Park is really quiet and grassy. Lots of pets and babies.
