Decent

Park Crest apartments are pretty old, but they’re safe and comfortable and dependable. There are a lot of dog owners and young families here. There’s ample free street parking but you can also pay to rent a reserved space.

Close to campus but away from groceries

Very conveniently located from campus. Groceries are only at Wisconsin Avenue, which is a 20 minute walk, so a bit inconvenient.

Great apartments in Glover Park

I have lived at Park Crest for just about one year, and I love it! I live with one other roommate. We share a one bedroom apartment which has a den, and the den serves as the second bedroom. Maintenance is very responsive to all of our requests, the grounds are maintained very well, and I love that there is a small fitness center. Parking is tight in Glover Park, but Georgetown University is about a 15-20 minute walk away!

Pet Friendly, Quiet Neighborbood

Park Crest is great if you're looking for an apartment close to Georgetown but away from the heart of the city. It's great for dog owners too!

Park Crest

This is an old apartment complex but it is well maintained and very clean. Short walk to Georgetown through the park.

Perfect for the price

My apartment is SMALL, but the rent, which is relatively cheap for the area, includes all the utilities. I don't need internet or parking, so my living expenses are literally equal to my rent. The management is quick to respond to emergencies--I once had my toilet flood at 3am, and the maintenance team was knocking on my door less than fifteen minutes after I called the emergency number. The management is also very responsive by email and open to suggestions and comments. The buildings are secure, and right next to the woods so it's really quiet. I'm about 30 minutes walking from Georgetown's campus, and ten minutes from Wisconsin Ave social live. The downside of these apartments is that they're pretty old buildings. The appliances are newish I guess, but the building hasn't been renovated probably since the 70s or 80s so it looks pretty bland. The floors in the hallways and the units could use a face lift, and the laundry machines are overpriced. I just don't separate so I can do everything in one load. Depending on where your unit faces, you'll be flush with light which is great in winter, but hot in summer. Electricity is included in the rent though, so run that a/c on high all day and night! They are open to cats and dogs, but you might need to exercise a little muscle with a rabbit (which I have). They are a "unique" pet so the building just don't really have a policy for or against them, but they will end up charging the fee as if the rabbit were a cat which was fine by me. None of the units are handicap accessible except I think for one building. The fitness center is fine. It has all the basics, but it’s not ground breaking. And there’s a bus a few steps away but we are nowhere near the metro.

1 Bedroom in Glover

I love my 1 Bedroom, however could definitely use more lighting. I did a lot of research when I moved in and as far as financially this was the most bang for my buck. However it's definitely OLD. No dishwasher, wish there was, lighting isn't great. Management is amazing though.

Great Place For Starting Out

From day 1 the management company has been exceptionally helpful and friendly. They always respond to needs in a timely manner and communicate changes in policies, holiday office hours, etc effectively. Overall, it is a good value for the area, but the buildings are a little dated. There is also considerable variation from apartment to apartment in terms of amenities, layout, etc, so be sure you see your exact apartment before you sign the lease. They have a great pet policy. Parking is available but expensive so most people opt for street parking which can be difficult at times depending on what time you get home. Overall, great experience.

Getting around Glover Park

Glover Park Reviews

47 reviews
Upsides: Very quiet and calm environment. Nearby access to the D2 bus.
Downside: Distant from nightlife venues (Bars and restaurants)
Glover Park is pretty quiet and it's not on the Metro; however, it's super close to campus.
I love Glover Park. It is much more neighborhood than city. Wisconsin Ave has a good selection of restaurants and shops in walking distance. It's about a mile downhill to Georgetown University. Coming home, that mile is uphill! Decent bus service, no metro service at all. Uber has it covered very well.
Glover Park is an extremely safe area. It has tons of food options along with basically anything else you could need. The downside is it is not near any public transportation and the cost of living is veru high. It is extremely popular for young adults to move their after college graudation. Definitely a young, fun enviroment.
A more quiet part of the city. Quick commute to campus and the surrounding Georgetown neighborhood: walkable, by bike/scooter and shuttle. Some restaurants and shops nearby. Note with ongoing construction the Wisconsin Ave. shuttle drops riders off on the far side of the hospital, so plan for time to walk to class from there. This shuttle also operates for fewer hours than the other routes.
Safe area, walking distance to necessities, not a lot of noise, mix of young professionals right out of college and young families, decent amount of restaurants
Quiet, residential. Options available for social outings on Wisconsin Ave and close enough to conveniently get to Georgetown and Dupont.
Excellent neighborhood, quiet and close to short trail walks that take you directly into nature. Although there is no metro, there is a well-connected bus system. Trader Joe's and Safeway are both not too far and school is a good walk.
