Cheap, affordable and well located.

The place is located next to Culver City, a very nice neighborhood with tons of restaurants, gyms, groceries. There's a bus stop around the corner, but if you can afford a car I'd recommend, all apartments have garage included. The 2r2b is spacious, maybe it's the UCLA apartment with the best cost bennefit.

Okay

The place itself is pretty decent(size/appliances) for the price. Apartment is on the older side. 2 Washers and 2 Dryers on each floor. Dishwasher in unit. Plenty of sunlight depending on the room you get and which side you face.
Area has decent food, LA fitness is nearby but typically very packed. Ralphs is across the street. R12 can take you straight to UCLA and back easily.
Slight issue with some pests like ants when it rains. Roaches is a possibility, keep your apartment clean!!

EXPERIENCE AT KEYSTONE MENTONE

Overall very happy with Keystone-Mentone. Location is perfect (walking distance to downtown Culver, close to bus stops), price is excellent, and unit itself is solid. UCLA maintenance is very responsive and efficient. Tandem parking spot can make coordination tricky, but not a big deal.

Keystone- I appreciate it here

I really appreciate living in the Keystone community. Everyone is really friendly and non-disruptive. It's a mixed housing with medical students, grad students of all identities. My roommates have been really great and respectful. The location is ideal. Great restaurants and gym within walking distance to Culver city. The area is fairly safe and has parking.

Keystone Mentone

I like my apartment at Keystone Mentone a lot. It's relatively quiet and clean. there's a group chat for residents of KM that is helpful if you lock yourself out or have any questions about living there. It's very close to the R12 bus stop, which takes you straight to Ackerman Union at UCLA. I live in a 2 bed/2 bath, and it's clean and spacious. I feel pretty safe (especially because of the group chat and because I'm surrounded by UCLA grad students).

Great place, but somewhat thin floors

The place itself is sublime, the housing staff is super helpful. My experience has been great, it is incredible that the university provides housing at competitive-ish prices and the quality if the facilities makes me feel truly greatful! Just some recommendations I would keep in mind, and that I wish I had payed more attention to.

Only issue is the floors might be somewhat thin. Especially if the person living above u has an affinity for throwing things around and dragging furniture.

I would also be quite careful to indicate your preferences on cleanliness for roommates.

Far From Campus

The apartments are nice and in an area with nearby stores that contain everything you would need in an apartment. However, it is fairly far from campus with shuttles coming around once an hour and the average ride lasting about 40 minutes to campus.

Great!

Pretty good location, great apartment overall, never have any maintenance issues. One issue is the lack of sunlight for many of the apartments in this complex, but it’s manageable

Great experience and access to amenities

The apartment is conveniently located within walking distance of public transportation to campus, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, shops, and other services such as a bank, gym, post office, and local libraries. If you enjoy the outdoors, the complex is located near hiking and biking trails. University housing also includes access to the campus shuttle. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues. The staff will periodically host events for residents of the building. I've enjoyed living in graduate housing and it made it affordable to live in the neighborhood.
