Great apartment in a great location near Culver City Downtown. The area is centric and quite accesible to UCLA in general.

Great apartment for the price

Overall a wonderful experience. Parking is great, community is relatively quiet, and the building feels safe. Every now and then one of the doors breaks down for the entrance to the building but that is minor.

The place itself is sublime, the housing staff is super helpful. My experience has been great, it is incredible that the university provides housing at competitive-ish prices and the quality if the facilities makes me feel truly greatful! Just some recommendations I would keep in mind, and that I wish I had payed more attention to.

Only issue is the floors might be somewhat thin. Especially if the person living above u has an affinity for throwing things around and dragging furniture.

I would also be quite careful to indicate your preferences on cleanliness for roommates.

The apartments are nice and in an area with nearby stores that contain everything you would need in an apartment. However, it is fairly far from campus with shuttles coming around once an hour and the average ride lasting about 40 minutes to campus.

Great value for the price

One of the most affordable housing options, but poorly managed and maintained. Flea infestation, sewage leak in apartment and garage, other pest issues, and door malfunctions are among the issues that arose in my time. Other apartments in the unit may not have the same number or level of issues; apartments include one's own bathroom and room which is nice.

I think the benefits of living in grad housing have outweighed the challenges, including being randomly assigned a roommate that I'm not very close with. I may have gotten lucky with my top-floor apartment, so I will caution that for any folks trying to get into grad housing.

I love my apartment. The outdoor gym is a great feature. The bedrooms are spacious and having my own bathroom is incredibly convenient. They are relatively clean as well, though they face the same problems of bugs many LA apartments deal with, and the kitchen is small. That said, the living room is massive and there is a nice deck area. I am very grateful for my place!
