Nice apartment on Sawtelle (next to the ramen block)
The building is pretty quiet, is gated, and faces the main street so feels pretty safe. The management is responsive and is investing in new appliances, paint, etc for the complex. In-unit washer + dryer. Floorplans are decently spacious for a 2-bed (enough room for guests). Ceiling installed lights and big windows make the room feel nice. Room has central heating/AC.
It is definitely a bit more expensive than most places in the west LA area, but that's because it's on Sawtelle and is walking distance from all the ramen restaurants and the Japanese grocery store. Rent includes electricity and basic internet and cable (gas/water separate).
15 min to campus driving. Gated parking. Good for students w/ cars.
The whole building is pretty small though, so doesn't have the major facility things like a gym or pool. Also will want to put up curtains because it's pretty bright in the room. Pretty quiet so wouldn't recommend for parties.
