Best apartment experience that I have had

I love my apartment at Ivy Gardens. I have a one bedroom-one bathroom and it is extremely spacious and I get the added bonus of free parking. It is also relatively cheap for the utilities (gas/electric/internet) that aren't included in the rental cost. The management is extremely easy to communicate with and are very responsive to questions and emails. The maintenance staff is also very quick to respond and take care of any issues that arise. While some of the units are older, they do offer renovations and even the older models aren't bad and come at a cheaper price. While I don't have a pet, many residents do and it seems to be a great complex for families and pets.

Ivy Review

The apartment is nice enough. The 1b 1ba is spacious, particularly the living area. Cons: the kitchen is too small with insufficient counter space and older drawers/appliances; the bathroom is tiny; the entire apartment is carpeted, which means the floors more easily get dirty.

Ivy Garden

So far it has been fairly good. No Real Complaints. Price and Location are great. Some problems with damage to the walls and the carpet throughout is not ideal. Wish they flat out allowed pets but they are liberal with ESAs.

It's fine

In an unrenovated unit, you will be getting carpet and appliances from the 1970s. There are some safety concerns, with packages often stolen. However, the walls are well insulated and the maintenance is responsive. Lots of parking. No in-unit w/d, but an onsite laundromat.

Reasonable place near law school

Ivy is a middle of the road residence near the law school. Great for the convenient walk, but the lack of a driveway on the law school side adds 5 minutes to most commutes (at minimum). Cost is typical for the area, cheaper than pav. No in-unit washer or dryer.

Ivy

Ivy is very well managed and the property is beautiful. It’s on the older side and no in unit laundry is the one thing keeping me from resigning. Short walk of about 10 minutes to the law school and it feels pretty safe to me, especially when school is in session and there are more people. It feels a little removed from the social scene on Arlington Boulevard which could be a pro or con depending on your personality. Still a lot of law students around!
