The Lumos

Nice and clean, responsive to maintenance requests! We are the first tenants so a couple problems with appliances but all fixed quickly.

It's a very nice community, as it is a new build, not too big or too small. There's quite a bit of space in their one-bedroom apartment compared to other apartments I have found, so if you have a pet its nice for them to be able to run about. Spacious bedroom closet & in-kitchen storage. Bathroom is a decent size.

Pros:
- Each unit has a washer & dryer.
- All upper floor apartments have balcony's, or "porches" for lower units.
- There is a study area/ small gym/ common area room.
- Only offer free internet in the common area, if you sit in the lobby area. - The building does have a secure entrance, so you cannot enter without a key.
- They do have a package machine so packages aren't sitting out in the open, as well as mail boxes.
- There is an elevator & stair options for upper floors.
- Larger grocery stores like meijer, walmart, target and other stores are within a 15-20 minute drive. There are some local conveinent stores, the health education campus, cleveland clinic, and some food places within a 5-10 minute walk. ~20-25 minute walk to Case Western Reserve University. CWRU dental school is on the same street, on the corner.
- Trash is the only utility included.

Cons:
- The price is my main hold back, since I'm a graduate student full-time and can't work as much/ if at all.
- There's no pool.
- I've never seen anyone spray for pests in this community, so I don't believe they do because I always see large spiders or other pests on/ surrounding the building. Including random cats or skunks roaming between the apartment's garbage bin and the property behind the apartment complex.
- No amenities are included in rent, parking is an additional $75/month (not included in rent) or can park on street.
- Not a gated community.
- All residents split the common area utilities bill for each month, based on how much electricity/ water everyone uses.
