wheelhouse sucks

The process of renting from wheelhouse was horrible. They had offered me a 20% DU Graduate student discount if I could prove financial aid since the property was owned by DU but managed by them. I proved it repeatedly and they proceeded to duck my calls and emails, and then initially refused to give it to me. According to them, the discount was through a very specific type of financial aid program that a) no one at financial aid has heard of b) no one in the housing department has heard of and c) they do not have written down anywhere nor do they have any concrete information on. I involved the university in these discussions and after ghosting me for days they finally offered me the promised discount. I am convinced it is only because I had a paper trail and involved the university.
