Quiet, upscale, condo-style apartments
We have really enjoyed our time living at Legends Grove. This property is at the edge of Ann Arbor and Pittsfield and is about a 15 minute drive to the medical school campus. I love the location, as it is very quiet and remote but easy to get into downtown. Everything you would need is within a 10-15 minute drive. Each apartment has their own garage and front door, which makes this feel more like a condo than an apartment. Most people living here are graduate students or other young adults. It is very family and pet friendly. Unfortunately, despite the units being brand new, we did have a couple of maintenance issues (dishwasher not working, doors not latching), but maintenance was very responsive and helpful. While it is fairly expensive, it costs the same or is a little cheaper than the apartments closer to campus and is more modern than many of the options there. Overall, I searched for many apartments before landing on this one, and I am very glad that I did. While it is not in walking distance to the med school campus, I believe you get way more for your money here. This is a great option if you have a partner, family, pets, or just want to be in a slightly quieter area.
