Spacious apartments at a reasonable price

Love the Meridian at Courthouse Commons! This building is in a great location. The neighborhood has a young and fun vibe, and there lots of great bars and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. The building has a parking garage (although it is extra) and is close to several public transit options. Management and staff have been very pleasant to work with and generally been helpful when anything has come up.

Great Location, Great Amenities!

The location of this apartment is great. It is within walking distance to the CourtHouse Metro Station. It is also walkable to Clarendon (great restaurants/night life), Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Starbucks, etc. The building has nice amenities - the pool is well maintained and the rooftop lounge has a great view! I would suggest living here if you're between the ages of 21-28 - as there are a lot of young professionals which provides a great opportunity to socialize!

Excellent building - highly recommend!

The Meridian in Courthouse is a modern, well-kept building, with ample amenities, excellent management, and spacious bedrooms. The building has a gym, rooftop lounge, and is an an exceptionally convenient location. It is a 5 minute walk from the courthouse metro, cvs, restaurants, and bars. I can't say enough about the great value of the residence; the prices are incredibly affordable, and you get quite an amount of space for your buck.

First Apartment in DC

I lived here when I first moved to DC after College. I like Court house because it offers a great living option while being close to DC. The Meridian was very social. It had a lot of young professionals like me. Apartments are very spacious and nice and the building management is really prompt about responding to service requests in a timely fashion. I really have no complaints. We're within walking distance to a ton of stores and whole foods and also really close to Clarendon which has great nightlife

Meridian review

i like this apartment a lot except for the lack of privacy in the 1 bedroom/1 sunroom model. they market it as as 2 bedroom apartment but is not very ideal for 2 people with all the glass doors and lack of wall space in the sunroom bedroom. great staff and location

Great apartment to get started in Arlington

This apartment was the perfect location for me for work, which was a 6-block walk. And, it's about a 15-minute walk into Clarendon where there are a ton of great restaurants and bars. Court House itself isn't a great place to go out to restaurants and bars, but it's close enough to everything that it isn't a big deal. The apartment itself is gorgeous. Even though it was a studio, it was spacious and had a sunroom, which served as a bedroom. The closet and kitchen were huge, and for the price, it was perfect. The amenities were also great. Two grills and picnic benches/tables in the courtyard made for a perfect summer activity, along with the pool and putting green (which I never used, but people would play cornhole, or lay out on it). The clubhouse was also a great amenity with great views, a bar, kitchen, and pool tables, and the gym in Building 1 was perfect for a workout before or after work!

Good Location w/ Reasonable Prices

The Meridian is a great place to move when relocating to the DC area. It's located in a young area and attracts young(er) residents. The staff is usually helpful and attentive to resident's needs. If there are issues in the apartment brought to their attention they will be fixed relatively timely...sometimes they need a reminder or two but it's a big complex and understandable.

Parking, while extra, is convenient and covered which is wonderful in the summer and winter!

If you are looking for a quiet complex, this may not be the one for you :)

The Meridian

A nice place to live, but management can be a little greedy at times with their charges and concessions but overall for the value it is a great place to live. Nice gym, pool, and amenities. Newer apartments are really nice and worth moving into. Maintenance is very quick and takes care of thing same day.

Great place

Maintenance is helpful and normally pretty quick, small apartment but you can transform the sunroom into a bedroom and split the rent accordingly. Also really great that there is a concierge that will pick up your packages and allow you to get them after work. Would definitely recomment

Great place for young people

This complex is great if you are a 20-something postgrad looking to be close to DC, Georgetown, and Clarendon. Walking distance to bars/restauranats in Clarendon and the Court House Metro as well as a movie theater, CVS, and a great bagel place. Definitely rent here!

Rosslyn Reviews

Rosslyn is great, gets a bad reputation from the snobs that think they're better for living in the city but it's safe, there's lots of good food nearby and everything is close and convenient. If you're more relaxed and not big into always going out or wanting to be surrounded by movement I would definitely recommend living here in Rosslyn than directly in DC. American University isn't very close though, it's normally like a 10 minute Uber or a 45 minute metro.
As a Georgetown student, the location can’t be beat...especially at this price. Less than 10 min scooter from campus. Metro station a few blocks away.

However, this has been a business district for ages. There is very little going on around here and many of the restaurants don’t even open on the weekends. But, that’s changing. So stay tuned!

(Also, I like living in Virginia because my vote counts for more here!)
It's a great area as someone who is looking to live somewhere with easy access to popular sites but without having to live with the noisiness in the "center of it all." It's an easy walk to Clarendon (it's about 0.35 mi walk to Whole Foods, 0.7 mi walk to Trader Joes) and a quick stroll to the metro station (only about 0.2 mi walk). It's a mix of residential apartments and corporate offices, and is quieter but still with a strip of restaurants, coffee, medical offices, and nail/hair salons.
I loved living in Arlington (so much so that we're moving back after our lease is up in DC). The exact location of the apartment was not ideal - we were about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest metro. If you could be right in Rosslyn (near the metro) I think it would be a great area for professionals. We will be moving out to Clarendon next - an area that is great for couples and young families.
I love it - it is right by Clarendon, which is a central area for bars and restaurants in Arlington. It is about 12 minute walk to the Rosslyn GUTS bus and a short uber into the heart of DC. About 1 minute walk to the Courthouse metro which is only one stop from Rosslyn and 2 stops from DC. Great restaurants and bars nearby, plus a ton of good shopping in the area. Great place to have a family and experience both DC and Arlington.
GU student notes: There are two shuttles that run through this area, one that runs 1x a hour around Arlington during rush hours, and one that runs every 10min during rush hour and 20 during off hours. There is no easy access to campus on the weekends so be prepared to UBER.

If you have long legs, renting a bike is an option. If you are like me and 5'1'', renting a bike is an option for downhill rides.

There is a lot within walking distance in Rosslyn (think 20 min average from my apt): Barnes and Noble, shopping, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's (also on the Arlington loop shuttle from GU), public libraries, CVS, Target, Safeway, lots of restaurants.

Also close to dense populations of immigrant communities if you like Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean food.
The area is very safe and close to many stores and restaurants but the community is defined by white privilege. There is not much character to the area and it is difficult to find interesting people around. I absolutely LOVE that I'm within walking distance of a Trader Joe's. I wish there was more interesting cuisine and nightlife though. Nightlife in the area is an extension of immature fratty college life.
Pros: Close to Metro station with three metro lines, new Target nearby, close to several jogging and biking trails and parks, walkable to Georgetown restaurants

Cons: Neighborhood shuts down after 5pm. Few restaurants in the neighborhood itself (this is getting better though). Concrete canyon effect because of the skyscrapers. Closest grocery store is an expensive Safeway.
