Great location: pricey, but worth it!

My boyfriend and I have lived at Westbrooke Place for three years now, and have very much enjoyed the experience. The location is unbeatable, and the building is overall very nice. Fantastic rooftop grill; small but functional gym; and wonderfully friendly staff. It is expensive, but no more so than any other building in the area.

Great Apartment Building

I love living in Westbrook Place. The building has a nice gym (with indoor pool), a nice roof and great, responsive management. There are several metro lines in walking distance as well. Parking prices are a little steep but if you metro the walking proximity to Georgetown, Foggy Bottom and Dupont is amazing.

Quiet and homey in highly sought-after West End

I love Westbrook Place! The location is one of the most sought-after areas in DC. Located between Dupont and Foggy Bottom, you have direct access to multiple metro lines yet still in a quiet, friendly, and working professional neighborhood. The apartments are currently being renovated as they become open - laminate hardwood, granite in the kitchen and bath, stainless appliances (gas range). The building itself is great. There is an indoor lap pool, small gym and community room that may be rented out. The rooftop is nice and quiet, with grills and plenty of seating, lounge chairs, etc. There is a complementary breakfast Monday-Friday and two coffee/espresso machines in the building. There is on-site parking for $275/month but you may also get a Zone 2 city permit for street parking in the neighborhood. I do this and usually find a spot within a few blocks. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and concierge - I (and my dog!) am always greeted directly by name which makes a huge difference. While a little pricey (yet comparable for the area), I have been impressed with Westbrook Place and it has been an excellent place to live.

Beautiful place to call home

Even as a grown woman, there's nothing like parental approval. When I brought my parents to Westbrooke Place for the first time, they were so excited and proud. They could tell I lived in a beautiful area and could envision a great life for me there.

Solid apartment

I really like the apartment because I got a great deal, but most people in the building are paying more.

Great building!

It is a very well managed building. I tried other Equity and Bozzuto properties but this one has been the best.
Amenities are great and the location is great.

West End Reviews

West End is fine. It's safe, there's easy access to transportation and plenty of supermarkets. But it's boring as anything - a neighborhood of hotels and office buildings. It's also overly pricey without really giving you much in return. As someone who had to move to DC on short notice - I picked West End based on location and little else - and I mostly came out of my time living here wishing I had done more research before signing my lease.
Safe neighborhood, great transportation hub with multiple bus stops less than a minute's walk from the apartment and a 5 minute walk to the metro. Some restaurants and bars nearby as well. Ten minute (at most!) walk to GW campus! My only gripe is that it's an expensive neighborhood but the apartment is competitively priced for the area.
The neighborhood is perfect. Ten minute walk to school, five minute walk to the metro. CVS and Walgreens just ten minutes away, trader joes just 3 minutes away, Whole Foods ten minutes away. There is a bus stop with a bunch of bus routes directly in front of the building. This neighborhood is also close to a bunch of other great neighborhoods, just a 20 minute walk to DuPont Circle and Georgetown where there are restaurants, bars, and stores. The monuments (the Lincoln) are only a 25 minute walk down 23rd street. There are numerous gyms nearby and the school gym is only a ten minute walk from the apartment. The area is probably the safest in the city and there is not a lot of noise over the normal city noise. It is next to the GW Hospital so ambulances going by can be annoying but not overly so. This neighborhood is great and close to every amenity.
I like the west end library and the l Trader Joe’s but other than that it is a little quiet and mostly filled with hotels. There aren’t very many food options either. It’s a close walk to Georgetown which is nice.
This neighborhood has everything a millennial needs - a CVS, Soulcycle, Sweetgreen, and great bars/restaurants. Highly recommend because it's quiet and really close to DuPont Circle and the GW Metro.
ONE BLOCK FROM TRADER JOES!! 5 min to Georgetown, 10 min to Dupont, 8 minute bike ride to campus. Bars & restaurants. Across the street from the dog park.
Hard to beat the Foggy Bottom area. Safe and close to everything you would need to be productive and have a great med school experience.
Some of the neighbors are great. It gets pretty dead very early here. There have been a few instances of intruders in the building.
