Great Location
Nice location, close to the university. The rent feels real though especially because coming from the mid-west, I am used to getting similar or better facilities for almost half the price. Still recommended because of it's proximity to public transit and all the major night life activities!

Great location for Wharton, great value
Really like this building - rent is cheaper than other places in Center City. The location between CC and Wharton is very convenient. The apartment building offers shuttles to/from campus, particularly helpful in the winter months. Gym is in the basement and a little dark, but has everything you'd need. Doormen are really nice. Apartment's either face the city or Wharton side. We were on an upper floor which costs a little bit extra a month, but the views are great and I'd recommend taking an upper level apartment.

Great place close to campus
One of the best values for the money, shuttle to campus, gym with all the necessities. Great management. Downside is the carpet and the occasional fire alarms.

Good value, gets the job done.
2400 does the job. The location is the perfect mix of close to school, close to Rittenhouse and close to 2401. Doormen are the nicest. A shuttle takes you to school everyday. Relatively spacious spot., very responsive management. Good value for the money. The building is a bit old and it shows. Insulation is poor which means electric bills in the summer and winter can get high. Does seem like the most social place, but that's not as high on my list of priorities. It is right next to the railroad that runs along the Schuylkill, which can be annoying depending on which side of the building you're on or how light of a sleeper you are.

Good value for money!
2400 Chestnut is spacious and a very good value for money. There's a shuttle to the Penn as well, which is very convenient. Walkable to school, and Rittenhouse area.

Great building if you pick right unit
This building has a few different units and layouts. If you do the research and communicate with management, you can find a unit with great lighting, hardwood floors (most units are carpeted), and generally very clean and equipped with new appliances. The location is perfect for walking to class and also walking to parties. Shuttle service in the morning to campus is also a lifesaver. Doormen are very nice, and maintanence is responsive. Highly recommended!

Great Apartment
I think the best part is the management company - they are very responsive and fix any issues very quickly. All the staff are super nice. I face the river so I also have great sunlight. I think I get great value for the rent I pay. I feel somewhat mixed about the location because while it is very easy to get to the Penn campus, I am a bit far from Rittenhouse where a lot of people and restaurants are. But as a Wharton student, our building is next door to 2401, which is extremely convenient. There are also a lot of mini-perks like a free shuttle that runs to campus every morning and I do like our gym (it is not amazing but has all the key equipment).

No frills living option
2400 Chestnut is the first building you'll see when you cross the river. The proximity to Huntsman is an advantage when you wanna quickly get to school or get back. Its close to 2401 and the pub, which means you have most of the Wharton life covered. The apartment provides shuttle service in the morning, which a lot of Wharton students take advantage of.
The apartment doesnt have plush louges or common rooms, and is a no frills option. Recommended if you want an affordable living option without a lot of amneties (such as pool)

Highly recommended!
I've lived in 2400 Chestnut since the start of the school year, and picking this place was a GREAT decision! It's a 20 min walk to school, and other shared spaces that Wharton leases in Center City (such as 2401 Walnut and Pub) are a short 5-min walk away. Admittedly, it isn't as plush as some of the newer high-rises in Center City, but it offers tremendous value for money. Another HUGE plus is the fabulous view of the river! The building management has been extremely helpful in every respect, and I've had no trouble since I've moved in.

Fitler Square Reviews
That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
Cons: Trader Joe's is the only real grocery store here and may have limited selection for those looking for a supermarket; not as quiet or "neighborhood-y" as other areas, as it is in the heart of downtown; there is a freight train that runs along the river that can be loud, though I got used to it quickly
