Love it here

I love this building. We definitely pay a lot for rent, but honestly the perks of living in downtown brooklyn are worth it. Pretty much every train comes here - I never have an issue getting to school and it takes me about 20 minutes. Also, the building itself is really nice, has multiple lounges, a dog walk, a gym (which is extra), and we're right next to the NYU Brooklyn campus so there's a gym there and I believe a doctor's office.

Ava DoBro

It's a great apartment in that the maintenance crew is super responsive. If something goes wrong in your apartment, they fix it right away. It's also pretty fancy and nice and has elevators, etc. The downside is that it's not cheap, but I chose to live there because of it's proximity to the trains. I can take the 2,3,A,C,F,D,Q, and R from my house. It takes me 20 minutes to get to school and if a train is not running it doesn't ruin my life. Also, I live right next to a movie theater, a Trader Joe's and a Target.

Fort Greene Reviews

Very neighborhood-y feel with easy access to Fort Green Park and tons of amazing food.
I've never felt unsafe in my immediate neighborhood. I've walked home from the Jay Street metro late at night with no issues - the promenade is well lit and tends to be fairly well-trafficked.

Although the access to public transit is great, there's not a whole lot to do in the neighborhood. The one good thing is Dekalb market, a food hall.
Neighborhood is lacking in nightlife/restaurants/bars, etc. Safety is probably average - I've walked home via the Myrtle Promenade late at night and I haven't had issues but it may feel a bit unsafe since it clears out late at night. There have been isolated incidents of gun violence in the neighborhood according to apps like Citizen. This sounds bad, but it is probably average for many parts of Brooklyn unfortunately.
Not much of a neighborhood. It does have a supermarket and a decent wine store, but beyond that I don't go anywhere in the immediate neighborhood. However, there are several great neighborhoods nearby.
Everything is nearby, best location ever!
Close to so many great neighborhoods (Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Clinton Hill, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill), which means there are plenty of restaurant options in every direction. A few blocks from Fort Greene Park, a mile from the Promenade, and 2 miles from Prospect Park (so lots of options for running). A mile from Barclays Center. Almost every subway you can think of is within a 12 minute walk.
This is a small neighborhood so close to so many things. It is super safe and has tons of bars and restaurants nearby.
Great neighborhood. Lots of delicious restaurants, and pretty safe.
