awesome location with bad management

The location is absolutely awesome - very close to the university and within campus patrol area so it's super safe. Fast food restaurant and Eddie's supermarket right across the street. Only complaints is about management: it often takes forever for them to fix something.

Good Deal - Average Not So Great Management

If you want fancy amenities and high-tech security this is not the place for you. But, if you're like me, and appreciate a more historic feel, including beautiful wood floors and courtyard this is a good deal. The rent is on the lower-end of properties in the area. The location is great for students and young professionals, although you do need to tolerate some level of noise from Saint Paul Street. The only major problem I have had is the management company, which is like many property management companies, not the most responsive. If you get to know the on-site maintenance workers though you will do alright.

Good value for money, great location, average management

Saint Paul Court is good value for money! Great location, just a block from the Homewood campus, apartments are quite reasonable. Management is so so, but overall, you get what you pay for. If you get lucky with the apartment, you'll get a good deal, they have different sizes and shapes, so watch out for them!

Reasonably decent apartment complex for the price

This apartment complex is very conveniently located, just one block away from Johns Hopkins University, Homewood campus. It is reasonably well priced for its location, the management is average, but very friendly. There is a garden in the middle of the apartment complex, with a gazebo, that gives it an old world charm. To sum it up: average management, good pricing for the location!

Spacious, affordable apartments in a horrible crumbling, held together with tape kinda building with the worst management and maintenance staff ever

Saint paul court is conveniently located very close to JHU, Homewood and is in a campus patrol area in a quite very safe neighborhood in Baltimore (that is really something!). The apartments are quite very spacious for the rent they charge and have plenty of windows, giving lots of natural light to the space. BUT, the building is very old and not well maintained. The maintenance staff are very difficult to reach and even when you do reach them, they are not willing to help you out, unless you left your stove on!! There are loads of mice and roaches that drive residents nuts and for some weird reason, exterminators never manage to find them while you can see them running around when you aren't even looking for one. Overall, it's a great location, big spaces and large windows in a crumbling, ill-maintained building.

Charles Village Reviews

Charles Village is right in the heart of Baltimore - every where in the city is at most a 15-20 minute drive and every major bus line runs right through Charles Village. Honestly, you might not need to leave very often - there are tons of bars, music venues, and the Baltimore Museum of Art all right here.
I'm right next to campus, so there are a lot of security patrols, and it feels very safe. Most of the renters in the building are students too, which helps.
Close to JHU, which means too many undergrads. But lots of older students and families too. Restaurants are decent. Public transit is good. Safety is above average for Baltimore.
