We love the quiet & the community

Woodbury, while one of the apartments "farthest" from Ross, is still only a 25 minute walk to school. It has spacious and affordable units in a quiet, comfortable community. Woodbury offers great amenities (e.g., shuttle to school, breakfast during the week, food trucks, etc.) and has a very helpful, responsive management team. The apartments are not overly luxury, but can be made very cozy. The gym is very small, but does offer 2 Pelotons.

Good value for money

The apartment is in good condition although it is clearly old and we have had to call maintenance a couple of times. Maintenance has responded very well to every service request. For the price we pay and what we get, we are happy. CAREFUL, floor 1 apartments have little to no sunlight.

Great for pets

I love this place mainly for my dog - huge active dog park, grass and green space everywhere, surrounded by parks. Lots of MBAs live here so the social scene is great. Maintenance is fairly responsive, though they were short staffed this year like everywhere. The townhomes are a little old so the floors are squeaky/walls are a bit thin, but overall it's great. Tons of space - we have an entire unfinished basement.

Awesome for homebodies

In terms of bang-for-your-buck space, this community is great. The only downside is the distance from campus; it's a little far to walk in the winter, but there are ample opportunities to take the shuttle and (free) public bus system to get to campus. Parking's also very affordable, unlike other units closer to campus. While some might see this distance as a negative, I think it also provides a welcome separation between campus life and home life, and it's perfect for people who want school to be a part of their life, but not their entire life.

Great for couples

The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, amenities are good and rent is reasonable.
It is a little far from main campus and downtown, but these is a shuttle service and a convenient bus line close by (2-4 mins walk, depends where you're apartment is).
Apartments available with or without W/D - our rent is with W/D.

Wonderful Space and Place

Coming from New York City, I wanted space and easy access to parks and the outdoors, still walkable to a coffee shop and wine bar. I found that at Woodbury! It's a lovely 30-minute walk to campus and the complex operates a shuttle that heads to Ross five times a day, or you can take a bus which leaves frequently from the entrance to Woodbury. Quiet and yet with tons of Rossers and other graduate students nearby. I couldn't ask for more!

Great Value

Woodbury is definitely an older complex but the apartments are spacious and they provide free shuttles to and from Ross School of Business.

Woodbury Gardens is its own community - so we don't get a lot of surrounding neighborhood effect and it's quieter.

I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
This neighborhood is "undergrad territory": lots of loud parties on the weekends. BUT it'll be this loud this close to campus, no matter what neighborhood, due to proximity to the big house
Safe, albeit there have been bicycle theft issues. It is quiet here in the community. Walking distance to UM Stadium, not far from Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Plum Market, etc...
Lots of green space if you have a dog or children. Close to the stadium, about 5-10 minute drive to Ross and downtown.
Not a lot around, but there is nice space to walk, public parks, and it is fairly quiet
Quiet, good for families, far enough to not deal with UM student traffic.
This is primarily an undergrad neighborhood. There are no bars nearby, just Dominos, Subway, and other small fast food places. It is also loud and noisy especially during games. It's very close to the IM gym and law school though, which is great.
Overall, a nice and quiet neighborhood that feels secure and is slightly removed from campus, so you're away from the hustle and bustle of the University. Definitely a grad student neighborhood. Close to public transit lines, and there is a nice grocery store near the apartment complex. Running trails are nearby, and road access to I-94 is pretty quick as well. Within an extended walk of campus, the Big House, and Ross. Really enjoy living here.
