Woodbury Gardens Review
Overall, my experience at WG has been positive. Since August 2020, there has been new management who has responded quicker to concerns. Rent is not cheap at Woodbury, but there are added benefits of being close to Ross, but not directly across campus.
WG has a more mature crowd (grad students, families, working-age adults), which may appeal to a certain demographic. The dog park is great, there is a pool in the warmer months, and also there is a shuttle bus that runs daily (M-F) between WG and Ross/Downtown + a weekly grocery run to a super market for those who do not have a vehicle.

Lovely and spacious townhome (and community)
This is a 2-story townhome plus a basement. Areas such as bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining area, etc. are generally larger than a typical 2 bed apartment. The basement is great for storage or for transforming it into whatever you need. We use it as a playground for our 2 yr old son. The Woodbury community is really spacious with plenty of green areas for walking or just hanging around. Location is perfect because is just outside of downtown noise, but close enough for 7-8 minute commute.

Nothing special but still a great choice.
Being at Woodbury ended up being a blessing in disguise. At first, I was upset that I was so far from campus (30-40 min walk), but because of the pandemic it didn't matter. Instead, I got the benefit of not living downtown and having a lot of green space to walk around, hang out socially distant, and play with my dog.
We didn't have a car when we first moved here and that was annoying. We used uber and zip cars, and while you can get away without having a car, your life will be improved with a car .

Love Woodbury Gardens!
If you have a dog, the dog park is an absolute must-have. Spacious floorplans in the townhouses and amazing value for money!

Very nice place, good value
The apartments are very nice (especially for the price). The management team makes a concerted effort to promote community engagement/make your time here comfortable.
Woodbury is a mile away from campus - just enough to make it really annoying to get there (although Woodbury has shuttles that will take you to/from).

Great for families
We have loved our time at Woodbury, and the community that comes along with living here. It is a short 20-minute walk to campus and has a shuttle that runs frequently as well. The outdoor space with the parks, and the community of pet owners and families makes this a great place for dog-lovers and families alike.

Nice spot
Overall positive. Very spacious townhomes with huge unfinished basement for storage, great for pets (dog park nearby). We have an updated unit so new kitchen appliances. They're older units so the very squeaky floors have been a bit of a problem. If you're a light sleeper it's a good idea to have roommates on the same sleep schedule otherwise it's hard to get good sleep.

Spacious, comfortable and quiet
I have an upgraded apartment with laundry in unit. Overall, I am pretty happy. It took some getting used to the fact that the stove is electric, the apartment is carpeted, you can either wash or dry (not both) at one time, and there is limited ceiling lighting, but I really like the apartment layout and feel very safe and comfortable here. You will definitely need to get 3-4 lamps per room, but there is a ton of storage in the apartment and central air/heat (I'm coming from an old apartment in NY with none of these things.) Fantastic neighborhood if you like dogs-- this is THE neighborhood for dog-owners

Yost Reviews
I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
