Great Apt
Very quiet neighbors and clean. Love that it's super close to the ARC and to campus.

While it is incredibly cheap, you get what you pay for. No frills and modern accommodations.

It's great for the price, and very proximate to the law school.

Should have an elevator
The apartment overall is pretty good. It is new and spacious. However, since we live in the third floor, there should be an elevator. It's always really hard to carry all the stuff with our baby upto the third floor.

Verano Place Review
Nice.
Live with a roommate. His room is too close to the bathroom, and he can hear me when I shower.
There's a lot of kids running around, but it's not a big deal.
Overall, not really there. Spend most of my time at school.
Management is okay, the person who they have at the front desk is whatever.

Verano Review
Overall, the Verano housing is a very nice place to live. Neighbors have been relatively quiet as many are grad students or have their own families. There was an issue in 2015 when Verano tried to have some termite treatment done and had several problems--principally lack of notice and not providing adequate storage space for items that may be affected.
Additionally, you may think that you are a safe area since you're in Irvine, however, you still must use common sense, and close your sliding door when you are not home to ensure that there will not be intruders.

Verano Place
Has everything you need, except air-conditioning. If it get's hot, the apartment can be unbearable (100F+ indoors, upstairs). Otherwise the upshot is the convenience (in between main campus and ARC). Housing office is not the most responsive by email, but is reasonably responsive when you actually get a hold of someone.

Good, but noisy
My window faces California Ave so it's quite noisy even at night.

Verano: Inexpensive and Noisy
It is definitely the most cost-efficient housing in Irvine. I could not be happier with the amount of rent I pay for an apartment that is close to campus, a grocery store, and the UCI gym. The walls are paper thin, and I can hear almost every step that my upstairs neighbors take, but I think that it is all worth it for the price.
