Great location, great price, great place!

I have only lived here for 3 months, but have loved my time here! I do wish there were any amenities, even a rooftop or small gym would help justify rent being as much as my friends studio across the street that has a gym and rooftop grill. It's super close to everything you could need though, so I love that!

Good Value

This apartment has plenty of space for a great price point in the foggy bottom area. Although, this means that it is pretty bare bones when it comes to amenities—there aren’t any. Utilities are included in rent, but you’ll have to pay for laundry that is located in the basement. The AC in the summers doesn’t quite keep up since the units are pretty old so I’ve needed to use a plug in fan. Heat during the winters is good. Dogs are allowed with a monthly pet rent charge—no cats though. Parking is an additional monthly charge and is limited based on availability. The other tenants in the building seem nice and respectful. The surrounding area is nice. Quick walk to GW campus, Georgetown, Trader Joe’s, and the mall. Only thing that would make it better are more walkable grocery options. Worst part of the building is the management. It’s a family owned building and they can be difficult to deal with at times depending on the situation.

Value!

Very cost-effective for single people who want to live close to the hospital. Major utilities (electricity, water, heating) are all included in the base rent, which is very reasonable for the area of town (a few blocks from GW hospital). Parking spots are available for an additional fee (however, I mostly leave my car parked at GW). It is an older building, but they work hard to keep everything in good condition (for example, my unit's refrigerator stopped working and they bought me a brand new one ASAP). Some people feel the landlady is a little eccentric, but I've never had any major problems.

Great Location

Quiet building in a great location. Two blocks to Foggy Bottom Metro. One block to Trader Joe's. The building allows dogs. Apartments have lots of closet space. Kitchens are updated. Wood floors and great lighting. For the neighborhood, the rent is on the least expensive side. No roof access or other amenities. Laundry in basement. Management can be difficult at times, but worth it.

Management Just Okay

Not horrible but management can be difficult to handle since it is a family not a company. So not always the most professional or timely in dealing with matter with rent or services or something broken in the apartment. This is a great location though.

Great Location

The location is just great, it borders Georgetown and am just minutes away from my favorite places. The owner of the building is always very responsive and really cares about the tenants. Even the maintenance staff is great, they go out of their way to help you with any big/small issue you have. I would recommend living here!

Lots of pretty row homes, walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, and my school. Lots of trees and a dog park near-by. Overall, very pretty and scenic to walk through, and also close to other neighborhoods and essential stores.
I like living in Foggy, it's easy to get to school but also is close to Georgetown, which is fun for food and shopping. The northern part of Foggy (near GW) is about 10 minute walk to Dupont too, which is great.
Short walk to Georgetown, West End, and Dupont Circle. Many restaurants nearby and close to metro so you can get to anywhere in the city conveniently.
Nice to be so close to school. Short walk from the mall and other tourist destinations. Bar/restaurant/night life scene leaves a lot to be desired.
It is really close to campus so a lot of GW folks live here! You can reach a lot of places on public transit.
Edge of Foggy Bottom bordering Georgetown - very safe and peaceful!
I personally enjoy the quietness of the neighborhood and its location within a close walking distance of campus, Georgetown, the water, and convenience/grocery stores. The neighborhood is also very safe, I am a woman in my early 20's and I have never felt unsafe walking home late at night near my apartment.
Foggy Bottom is a great place to live given the proximity to the law school. It's also within walking distance of Georgetown and Dupont Circle which are fun places to go out with friends and classmates. It's also has lots of bike racks for the Capital Bikeshare nearby, and the Foggy Bottom metro stop is a few blocks up the street.
