Good but leaves room for improvements

The apartment is spacious–too spacious, in my opinion. A larger apartment means more cleaning. Had some bugs in the kitchen. Move-in was seamless. Some broken stuff upon move-in. The broken washer took a while to get repaired. First-floor apartments facing the street are really loud, even at 2 AM; you will not be spared from people blasting their music while driving. Soundproof walls would've been great and much-needed. Also, be prepared to use your light more often since first-floor apartments don't have blackouts or windows that allow a one-way view, so everyone can see through your window and balcony. So, you'll just have to keep the blinds closed if you want privacy unless you enjoy being exposed and watched. If that is the case, get a first-floor streetview apartment.

Perfect Walking Distance no need for a car

I chose to live in this building because I did not have a car. My apartment is in perfect walking distance of the law school, and with a small grocery store around the block of my building I do not feel like I am in need of a car for anything. I have been very happy with my apartment location and the building's staff and management have been very helpful.

Hue Apartments

It's a 3-minute walk to school. They just had change in management so there's a lot of good things happening. It is pet friendly. It has a nice pool. It also has responsive maintenance and services. The price is right. The management is friendly and responsive. I've never heard my neighbors in the two years I've lived there.

Cons: It's pretty loud on the lower levels. The inner court is loud as well. It is a hotel size gym. Sometimes you get an unfriendly dog in the hall.

Wonderful and QUIET Place

This apartment is wonderful. It is beautiful and all of the staff (including the maintenance people) are very kind and helpful. I am a law student so one of my favorite parts of the Hue is how quiet it is. My unit is dead silent and I was so surprised because it is in the middle of downtown. It's not even noisy on weekends. The parking deck makes bringing guests over a breeze and I feel very safe here. As a woman living by myself, I can say i feel completely safe and comfortable here.

Downtown Raleigh Reviews

Super close to tons of food places, bars, a grocery store, and down the street from basically anything you’d need. Downtown Raleigh can be a little rough sometimes so just be careful walking alone when it’s late!
I have walked home late some nights and have never felt unsafe. The Lincoln is very close to several bars and restaurants. The City Market area is a fun place to hang out and go shopping. Before COVID, there was an open air market there every Wednesday.
There is lots to do in the warehouse district and tons of amazing restaurants within walking distance! And the biggest perk of all is that my commute to school is a 4-5 minute walk.
We are so close to many bars and restaurants but also far enough from Glenwood street that there isn't much noise.
I love being right downtown. It is so convenient, and its so nice being so close to campus.
It's downtown Raleigh, so an ideal location but can be loud.
I love Raleigh, I think it's a perfect example of "big city, small town feel." The food is great, the bar scene is what you make of it, and there is plenty of accessible sidewalk.
Downtown is what you would think if would be, a lot going on! Safer than the downtowns I'm used to (Little Rock, AR & Memphis,TN) so I've never felt uncomfortable being out in the city and I don't know that many peopld I know have either! Lots to do and see!
