Beautiful Brand New Building

Moved in 3 days after this apartment complex opened. The staff is very willing to help with questions or maintenance concerns. The apartments have beautiful amenities and the building is in a nice area of Evanston, right next to the purple line and the Metra.

Amenities are Awesome

The Centrum apartments have really nice amenities and fixtures but are lacking on the storage space (they do have store units to rent separately though) . The rooftop and gym are really nice, and even though there's no dedicated doorman there is staff here for much of the day and the electronic entry system, package system, and dry cleaning system all work really well. Biggest drawback is no real on-site parking but we've found a spot to rent about 2min away (they also offer rentals in a parking garage about 5min away).

Brand New

Overall great apartment - brand new building with attractive fixtures and plenty of light, unit isn't overly spacious but has an open living / kitchen area and a lot more closet space than others we checked out, building management is responsive, in-building gym is very nice and rarely crowded, rooftop is a plus (though no pool), lots of extras like storage, Pressbox, Luxer package system, Butterfly door system. For anyone commuting downtown the building is steps away from the Metra / Purple line which is very convenient but also means you'll hear the train despite significant amount of noiseproofing in the building - white noise blocker is a must for us at night.

Great place

For the price, compared to other high end apartments in Evanston, this is a good deal. It's near the metra and CTA. Getting down town is easy. In Unit washer and dryer is spectacular. However there's no concierge. Things here are mostly managed online. You can use an app to let people in. The doors are also activated by a FOB key (not card).

Sleek, modern amenities in a brand new building

I love my little studio! It is very spacious as far as studios go (~650 square feet) and the new appliances, modern finishes, and high ceilings make it feel very spacious. We have a gym and a rooftop lounge area that I use regularly. The management team has been helpful whenever I have had an issue. Indoor bike storage and storage lockers available on site. Only minor inconvenience is distance from Global Hub- ~25 minutes + of brisk walking.

Brand new building with great amenities and responsive management

Centrum is a brand new building in downtown Evanston. The apartments are spacious and nice with good two-bedroom layouts. There is also a gym, rooftop with grills and study rooms which we have enjoyed. The building is in a great location for eating / going out in Evanston (though is a little farther from the Global Hub for Kellogg students). It's right near the Davis street Metra and El stations, which makes it easy to get downtown as well. We also have quite a few other Kellogg students in the building.

Downtown Evanston has everything you need. E2 is walkable to campus, a Target, and plenty of restaurants, as well as Metra and L stations to get to Chicago. Right across the street is a Subway, a Thai restaurant, and a pizza place, plus there’s a 7-Eleven about a block away, so you’re very close to options if you need food in a pinch.
Close to downtown Evanston but a bit far from E2/the reserve. One of closest apartments to Trader Joes/Whole Foods/Jewel Osco while also being close to campus. Very close to the lake!
Downtown Evanston has everything you need from a downtown including grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Downtown Evanston is great - plenty of great food within walking distance, Metra and El trains right nearby, a really nice place to be. Only downside is it's far from school and the only truly walkable grocery store is a Whole Foods, which can get expensive. Overall, wouldn't want to live elsewhere though.
Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy access to Lake Michigan as well!
There isn't much to do here, but that's true pretty much everywhere in Evanston. We're in walking distance to all of "downtown" Evanston, so restaurants / fast food / subway, etc. It's a slightly longer walk than desired to Kellogg, but that's fine.
The apartment is central to downtown and is walking distance to most bars, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Evanston is a bit of a sleepy town (especially during the pandemic...I've been told it was much more vibrant pre-pandemic).
I live just south of the main downtown area, and it's the perfect intersection of being close to the action but also a bit removed when you want some quiet. I like being a in a more residential pocket, so there is slightly less foot traffic and really nice areas to walk around with a dog, etc.
