Love University Village

I love University Village apartments because it is a great value for money. University Village has high quality amenities and a very nice inside territory with playgrounds for children. I wish maintenance be a bit more responsive. But overall I am very satisifed with housing offered by UCLA. Thank you!

UV Sawtelle Blvd

I really like the apartment complex because it's safe for kids. My 5 year old is enjoying every bit of his time here - there are lots of play grounds where many kids come out to play all the time. Overall, we are happy with this place.

Great price!

UCLA University Village is graduate student housing. Common misconception is that you have to be married to your Sig-O - you don't - only proof that you've lived together for a year. Very inexpensive, safe, neighborly. Love the BBQ areas. Really love it here!

Poor management

Management does not adequately address residents' concerns around safety. There have been multiple instances of break ins.

Also, there has been a persistent issue with package deliveries being stolen, which management has failed to address.

There are signs that display that the community is monitored by campus police, however I have not seen any police in the 4 months I have lived here.

Decent

1) Too far from UCLA (need car or to take a bus)
2) Not safe (management is so bad that they do not take care of theft cases, take no basic relevant actions)
3) relatively good cost benefit. If you have money restrictions, you wont find anything cheaper.
4) officially does not accept pets, but everybody has one

Best bang for buck

No big complaints. Great value. Close to elementary school and daycare. Many groceries within walking distance. Bus stop that goes to UCLA in front of complex.

Building and facilities are old. Appliances break easily, but maintenance fixes them. But for the value it is great, especially if you have children. It is a nuce place to stayfor a little while.
