Convienent location at a cost and in an aging building

Location and amenities are excellent. Apartments vary in regards to recent remodeling or very old floors etc based on individual owners. There is a whole building rodent issue - can be avoided by using draft stopper on the entrance door to prevent entrance from the hallway - weekly service comes to the building to address complaints and look for internal entry points (can plug some holes if any, mostly place useless mouse traps).
No bug problem.

Converted 1 bedroom

Converted 1 bedroom was more than enough space and storage for two people. Both rooms had huge windows with great sunlight. The location was super convenient for school and the city is small enough that nothing is ever too far away. The management is very quick at responding to issues and everyone who works at the front desk is friendly and helpful! We love using the courtyard barbecues during the summer and my roommate uses the gym every day.

Condo = yes

The fact the the building is made up of condos means that the prices are lower than a managed building. The units vary in newness and features but the common areas are all nice and there are great amenities, like a pool and small workout room.

Solid Apartment for Grad Student

I really like the apartment so far. The staff has been incredibly friendly and it is always a bonus to have a 24 hour doorman ( to hold packages and respond to inquiries). Great location to the metro and the GW campus. Maintenance has been very quick to respond to all problems. The condition of the apartment will likely depend on your landlord (as the apartments are owned by separate entities).

Perfect building for law students

The apartments here are slightly pricier than others in the vicinity, but not by much and they are by far the best in terms of aesthetics, amenities and management. One block away from Trader Joe's and five minutes walk away from Foggy Bottom metro, you couldn't ask for a better location. Management is super responsive and the front desk staff is always helpful.
Only complaint is that the building does frequent work on different apartments, so water outages occur regularly (but at off-peak times, so that doesn't affect most of the residents).

Great

Very friendly staff. Could use a modern facelift but all amenities function and very close to law school.

Nice location, good management, building is a little old

Each unit is owned by a different landlord, so each apartment is different. I recommend you go on their website and check out a bunch of the available units. Try to live in the North building if you can as it's newer and there's a laundry room on every floor.

Location is great in terms of convenience of things in the immediate area - right in the middle of Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, a 5 minute walk from the metro, etc. However, Foggy Bottom is not super central and it's a little annoying to get to more "lively" areas (Adams Morgan, U St, Logan Circle, 14th St etc.)

Lots of college students, so noise can be an issue sometimes but it's never been that bad for me.

Maintenance staff is great, and so is the front desk. The only annoying thing was the $300 move-in fee.

Best place to live

I have lived in Claridge House for about 2 years now. Great place to live! The staff are like family and the maintenance team is very responsive. There is a gym, a business center, and industrial size laundry (so no more $50 dry clean fee for washing my duvet).

Love the location, it's 3 mins walk to the metro and it's 10 mins walk to Georgetown waterfront. While it is near campus, it's not loud at all.

Clean, convenient, comfortable and loaded with amenities.

This place is great! Well kept study areas, common room, gym, courtyard with grills, and rooftop pool. In between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods for shopping convenience. Easy walk to school and metro. Building is safe and clean. Partying undergrads can be a distraction at times, though.

Foggy Bottom Reviews

Lots of pretty row homes, walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, and my school. Lots of trees and a dog park near-by. Overall, very pretty and scenic to walk through, and also close to other neighborhoods and essential stores.
I like living in Foggy, it's easy to get to school but also is close to Georgetown, which is fun for food and shopping. The northern part of Foggy (near GW) is about 10 minute walk to Dupont too, which is great.
Short walk to Georgetown, West End, and Dupont Circle. Many restaurants nearby and close to metro so you can get to anywhere in the city conveniently.
Nice to be so close to school. Short walk from the mall and other tourist destinations. Bar/restaurant/night life scene leaves a lot to be desired.
It is really close to campus so a lot of GW folks live here! You can reach a lot of places on public transit.
Edge of Foggy Bottom bordering Georgetown - very safe and peaceful!
I personally enjoy the quietness of the neighborhood and its location within a close walking distance of campus, Georgetown, the water, and convenience/grocery stores. The neighborhood is also very safe, I am a woman in my early 20's and I have never felt unsafe walking home late at night near my apartment.
Foggy Bottom is a great place to live given the proximity to the law school. It's also within walking distance of Georgetown and Dupont Circle which are fun places to go out with friends and classmates. It's also has lots of bike racks for the Capital Bikeshare nearby, and the Foggy Bottom metro stop is a few blocks up the street.
