Bristol West End

Great place to live! Close to hospital (about a 12 min walk). Has a gym and a pool.

Apartment building is located less than a mile from campus (about 10-15 minute walk). It is right across the street from one of Vanderbilt's large parking lots, and there is a free shuttle that runs to campus from 4am-midnight (which is ideal for early and late shifts). Apartment has a pool, gym, and grills out by the pool for use. All apartments have large windows, so lots of natural lighting. Each unit is individually owned, so you either will go through the management company or the apartment owner, depending on what the owner has set up. The building is also less than a minute walk from a Starbucks, Panera, Chipotle, and many other restaurants!

It is super convenient to live in Bristol as a medical student/resident. I really enjoyed being here and intend to stay. Having many other medical students in the building is a plus as well.

Best place to live as vandy medical student. 12 min walk to campus and vandy shuttle right across street. Great location adjacent to a starbucks and chipotle. Very nice condos and nice neighbors. Lots of medical students and residents live here.

Living in Bristol is absolutely awesome! It is a 10 min walk from the hospital, and is right across the street from off-campus parking that comes with a shuttle. It is close to great restaurants and coffee shops, and is very well maintained. The building is new, nice and clean and has a gym, pool, and common room for hosting events. Even on game days, it stays quiet which is great for studying! Not to mention, about 1/4 of each class lives in this building, which makes socializing easy!

Can't beat the convenience

Its a 10 minute walk to Vanderbilt campus. There is also a shuttle that stops directly in case of rain or rush.
Lots of medical students live in Bristol so its convenient to see people. Great pool, gym on premise, updated lounge.

I love living at the Bristol West End. It is hard to beat the location as far as its proximity to VUMC, and there is a shuttle that runs from the parking lot across the street right to VUMC on weekdays. There is also a big community of medical students in the building that makes it a fun place to live. It is also nice to have access to our own gym, and be close to the Vandy Rec center.

Overall great. Very close to campus, <15 minute walk to EBL, plus you have the blue line shuttle in the neighboring lot which takes you directly to EBL. Very nice facilities. Management company has always been very responsive to issues. Dedicated parking in gated garage is great.

Only issues: expensive, and parking gets crazy around football and basketball games (no guest parking).
