Bristol West End

Best place to live for vandy med students! Can’t beat the convenience. Lived 3/4 years and would highly recommend to all incoming students.

I'm really happy with my apartment. It's close to Vanderbilt's campus and there are a fair number of quick, easy restaurants within walking distance. There's a pool, gym, on-site recycling, and in-unit laundry. I ended up selecting this property because the quality of appliances/amenities and proximity to campus. I've been very happy living there. It's relatively quiet and a safe neighborhood. There are a lot of medical students who live in the apartments/condos.

You can get the shuttle right to the medical center or you can take a short walk! Very convenient!

Bristol is a great spot because is it a nice apartment at a reasonable price for Nashville (~1000 pp with roomates including parking), it is close to school (10 min walk or take the shuttle directly across the street), and it is an easy spot for a lot of the class to live in which makes a great community of classmates.

Pros:
Great location! Vanderbilt's Blue Route shuttle stops in the parking lot right in front of the building, making the door-to-door commute between BWE and EBL only 10 minutes. The Vanderbilt rec center, conveniently located right across that same parking lot, is also only a 5-minute walk from the apartment. Another thing is that because a large number of med students live at BWE, it's easy to randomly run into other students.

Cons:
The price is inflated because of the ideal location, and there is not a garbage/recycling room on every floor. If you want to dispose of garbage or recycling, you need to go down to the first floor/garage, which can be a hassle, especially if you live on the top floor like me. Also, the resident mailboxes are located at the back of the garage, making it inconvenient to check mail frequently.

Might not be the best value in Nashville, but couldn't be happier with my ability to walk to campus in 10 mins or less. Apartments are new and spacious. Truly does feel like a med school dorm.

Great clean apartment with gym and lots of other students

Amazing place to live! I've lived here since 1st year and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to live in a safe place, close to the hospital, with great apartment quality, pool and right across the street from the Rec center!

I've really enjoyed living at Bristol West End. I have a lot of classmates there, it is close to VUMC, there is a shuttle from the near by parking lot, my car is parked in a garage, there is a work-out facility and a pool, and the place is kept in good condition.

Bristol West End is very close to Vanderbilt's campus which is really convenient. The building is in great condition and indoor parking and water are included in the rent. There is a shuttle stop across the street that gets you to campus in minutes, and the building is very secure. I'd say the price is worth it for convenience, safety, and space!
