What made me to choose Vista Apartment(s) than other options I had as an International Student of Color(black)
The area and environment is very diverse, safer, quiet and reserved while very closer to DU campus area. I have always felt welcomed and accommodated at every event, point and time. The assistant personnel is more welcoming, very cheerful and fully supports and accommodate me every time regardless of my background and/ race.
I have also always received any of post box parcels efficiently and safer.

Well short of expectations
I thought this was going to be an actual apartment instead of student housing, but that one was my fault for not doing enough research. Having my own bedroom/bathroom is nice, but that’s about as good as it gets. The room when I moved in was dirty, and multiple things did not work. I have also received multiple pass aggressive and at times threatening emails from the property management. One of the two elevators that services the 9 floor building does not work, and has not worked for over a month, with seemingly no urgency to fix it. Would not recommend

It is ok. The management can be bad with rent accounting procedures and maintenance issues.

Experiences at Vista
As a non-US resident, I have no problem getting through application and move-in process. The staffs communicated amazingly. The location is very close to campus. They response to maintenance request very quickly. I like the bedroom that comes with a big window. I can enjoy sunlight and view outside while I am studying. There are some small annoying things like too small fridge for 4 tenants and little thin walls. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Great Views and Staff, Tiny Kitchen, Paper Thin Walls
If you get a mountain-side apartment then the view is great. Location on campus for DU is amazing. However, the walls are paper thin and the kitchen is excruciatingly tiny.

Avoid Vista
The first day itself left me with bad impression. I signed the lease agreement when I was in my home country. It was a big mistake. They have some weird and unilateral agreement clauses, which definitelyfavors 5hem. The rooms are badly laid out, small and do not have basics like lights. Too expensive for the price. Only advantage is it is close to DU. If you are on tight budget then you consider it. But you may get some better deals if you are willing to stay little farther from DU. I regret my decision.

I like it here
I like that everything is included, utilities and already furnished apartment. The fridge space and sink is however a bit small and I don’t really like that I have to share a mailbox. The apartment is very close to DU, I walk to and from class, I save on gas and I don’t have to wake up earlier to catch public transportation. The street also has restaurants and banks conveniently located. Staff is super nice, and I love that they have monthly events. Not so happy about rent increases though, also the bedroom doesn’t have a light fixture so you have to buy a lamp.

Pros and Cons
This is a great space for students and you get what you pay for.
Pros
Apartments are relatively "cheap" for Denver. If you don't have enough room mates to fill an apartment Vista will add students to your room. The amenities include a gym, 3 balconies, study areas, printing, and a small hangout area on each floor. They have giveaways in terms of food and prizes each month. Maintenance responds quickly and does a good job fixing problems.
Cons
The apartments are incredibly unevenly heated so some room mates swelter in heat while others freeze. There are not lights included in your room so make a stop at Ikea. The window shades don't block out anything so if you're on the east side you are woken up by the sun at whatever time it rises. Not Secure. People get parts of their bikes stolen constantly and cars, although in a garage, get broken into. Report this to management and its no surprise because it happens regularly. Some rooms are owned by DU and right now, DU is using these rooms to house people who have been exposed to people who have Covid-19 which can be nerve wracking.
