Holly Hills

I would say that Belmont or The Heights at LaSalle are better and cheaper options if you manage to get a good roommate. On the flip side, Holly Hills is more economical for single bedroom apartments and the repair team (clogs, leaks, etc) is fast in repairing the damage after calling them.
Also, the apartment comes unfurnished and is pretty dark, so feel free to buy some lamps (I got two double lamps of 140W each for $75 total).

Otherwise, this is a good option for an apartment and is pretty quite in terms of parties. If you wanna party at home, this might not be the place for you.

-Campus Walk Ave and Morreen Road is not necessarily the safest place to live. Several Muggings and shootings.
-The parking situation is outrageous. I had a friend stay one night. They parked in visitor's parking and because I did not get a visitor tag (mind you this is different than what they told me a month earlier) found their car towed the next morning.
-The parking situation has been outrageous for most of the school year.
-New carpet is fine; they literally just paint over everything even in the shower. Mold became an issue. There was clearly a water break issue. as the floor is terribly uneven all around the bathroom and kitchen.
-Washer and dryer are not clamped down well.
-I don't have anything positive to say.

The apartment is incredibly cheap and located very close to Duke University/Sanford. However, there have been many incidences of crime - including robberies and shootings - in the area. We are all moving out of the area next year for our safety. Management is also not very communicative. The main positives are the price and quick responses from maintenance. Would only recommend living here if you have a tight budget and fairly high tolerance for risk and poor management.
