Overall rating 6.0/10, based on 3 renter reviews Write a review
Good enough, management does bare minimum, almost never had anyone at concierge
The rooms are old, but I understand it depends room by room. They don't really try to do new fitting for the rooms when appliances are not yet broken. We have super old and moldy bathtub that no matter how many times we try to get work order in, they never do anything with it.
There's internet and garbage collection payment separate per year.
Rooms are spacious and very good size, bathroom and kitchen very good size.
It does get very loud night by night as it faces the Collegetown area and is right opposite wings over Ithaca, which opens till late at night.
Paid parking lot is right behind and very convenient.
Maintenance is quick but at bare minimum. Cleanliness is not priority.
Watermarks on ceiling. 1st time checking in takes forever with all the flaws.
There are 2 elevators, and one tends to break down. Both broke down on labour day and no one picked up the phone for maintenance.
Laundry room is massive and never too busy. They never clean the drums.
Bus stop is near, and the place is in the heart of food and very convenient to go uptown or downtown.
They will ask you a month into rental if you will continue renting.
In December, so far, heating is good. Heat is not as good during the day, it gets chilly, but very warm at night. Hot water is good as well.
When anything is down, or they are testing the water/fire. alarm, they only email you on the day of and very close to the time they will shut off the water

Good option for convenience and basic amenities
Convenient because very close to engineering quad, maintenance staff are very responsive and respectful, amenities are generally old but function well. Because of location above a parking garage, it can be noisy at night. It is easy to hear noise from outside (music, talking, garbage trucks, etc.).

Great Location, Cold Water
The best part of the Eddygate is the location. It is a five minute walk from the Law School, right in the middle of college town. It does not come with any amenities, but there is a fairly large laundry room. My apartment is a good size, and came furnished, which was a huge plus. The three rooms are all different sizes, with one being rather small. The kitchen area does not have much cabinet space or counter space, but there is a dishwasher. I would say my biggest problem is that sometimes there is not enough hot water for the building. If you take a shower at a popular time it will be room temperature at best, and cold at worst. Sometimes you can wait and the water will heat up, but sometimes it will not. There is a trash chute on every floor, and they take recycling. So far it has not been too cold, but we have the heat on maximum and it is only November, so who knows. If you have a maintenance problem you can put in an online request and they will come fix it. I think technically they are on call 24/7.
