Dog-friendly apartment in Cleveland Park

2501 Porter Apartments is a great place to live. All of the apartments are very spacious with balconies and patios. I live in a lovely one bedroom apartment with a huge patio which is great for my puppy. The amenities are great with a decent sized gym, pool, and a beautiful courtyard for pets. Management is very friendly and easy to get in touch with. Cleveland park is a great neighborhood to live in with just about everything in walking distance, including a metro, grocery store, movie theater, and plenty of restaurants. 2501 Porter is a great place to live!

Porter Apartments

I like our building and the staff is great. Very attentive and accommodating. My roommates and I have been friends for years so it's a very comfortable, fun living situation. My only complaint is that the rent is far too high for what we are getting.

Could be fine once the construction is done...

We moved in in July and a huge year long (or more... who knows) construction project began in August. We were not notified that this would be happening so soon after starting our lease. It was so incredibly loud all day that it was impossible to be home (I have a shifted weekend). Once they began working on our section of the building, we couldn't open our only window or the sliding door. We had workmen on our patio constantly, which meant we had no privacy. The staff working in the building were lovely and helpful, but the management corporation was dismissive and underhanded. I would make absolutely certain that there are no upcoming projects before signing a year-long lease. Live and learn.

Feels like home

This place isn't on top of DuPont Circle, or on U St, but boy being nestled right into the edge of Rock Creek Park and just a 7 min walk up a hill to the CP metro stop is amazing. Gosh, the trees and the whole environment is so perfect for home.

I wouldn't leave this place even if rent went up 10%

Getting around Cleveland Park

Cleveland Park Reviews

Very close to the red line metro stop and I never feel unsafe in Cleveland park as a single woman. The crowd is a bit older over here, but there are some grad students because Howard Law is close by. There is a target, CVS, GW urgent care, library and streets market all in the same shopping center along with several restaurants. there are many trails to run/bike through rock creek park which is a favorite pass time of mine
Cleveland Park is one of the best DC neighborhoods to live in. It is family friendly, quiet, and very safe. It's walking distance to the Zoo, metro, grocery stores, movie theater, and delicious restaurants on Connecticut Ave. Everything you need is just a step away from the numerous apartment complexes located in the neighborhood. Cleveland Park is great!
The neighborhood is a good mix of things to do and quiet at night. Mostly restaurants around but there’s also a library and movie theater. Metro provides easy access to other neighborhoods as well. Also very close to the zoo!
I love Cleveland Park, it's full of young professionals, families, and lots of cute dogs! Great Metro access, lots of food and shopping, and the neighborhood is very safe, even late at night.
Cleveland Park is a great neighborhood for those looking for something that feels like home but has the amenities of a city location (metro, shopping).
For a while I didn't like living in Cleveland Park because it's not a new or up-in-coming area that a lot of millenials in D.C. are moving to, but it has it's own charm. There are great resaturants, and it's convienent enough to anything you could need. It's also super safe and friendly.
Cleveland Park is much more vibrant than Foggy Bottom, there are lots of families and all the essentials (groceries, pharmacy, post office, movie theater) are in easy walking distance. The whole area is well-lit and safe.
Lovely spot! Right next to rock creek park. Dog park right down the street, lots of dogs and young families. It feels very safe.
