Will be hard to leave!

I've definitely been in better apartments around "the Wharton bubble" but this one was just fine. My kitchen was so small and crappy that I can barely cook in it. It's fine for a short term!

- lots of sunlight
- amenities are awesome - gym, lounge is great for group study
- staff is really friendly
- maintenance will do literally anything for you
- there's a loading dock in the back which makes move-in/out much easier

- note that it's an old building, so even though some of the units are renovated, there can still be some challenges
- walls are really thin
- if you're facing walnut st, there tends to be a lot of street noise at night
- higher floors tend to get hot once the building switches from AC to heat
- annoying policy for guests/hosting parties

The Rittenhouse Claridge is in the best location. It's awesome being right on the park and there is a big Wharton community in the building. The building's new lounge and gym are also very good.

Overall a great place with lounge and rooms are newly renovated. The bus stop to go to University City is located right across the street. Takes roughly 30 minutes to walk to school.
Leasing office can be a bit difficult to work with.

Rittenhouse Claridge has the advantage of being in a great location, and is a super convenient building, with 24x7 support staff in the building. CVS, restaurants, bus stops, are all nearby. The apartments are of a generous size and most apartment rents include utilities, which is a plus. On cons: in some apartments there is a slight ventilation problem, and the building is a bit old, so does not boast nice common areas like some of the newer buildings do.

The Claridge is in one of the best locations in center city --Rittenhouse Square outside your windows, bus stop right across the street, several grocery stores and dry cleaners within two blocks, & easy access to lots of restaurants and bars. The building itself is a bit older, but clean and spacious. We have a huge apartment (from our NYC point of views, anyway...) with a lot of windows/natural light and a ton of closet space. The one downside is that the kitchen/bathroom are smaller and a bit vintage-feeling (we have an unrenovated unit), but we do still have full-size appliances and all that, so I can't really complain for the price. There are a ton of Wharton students in the building too, which is great for ride-sharing when the weather is bad. I'd definitely live here again next year!

We live in an apartment overlooking Rittenhouse Square, which is really nice if you can get one. The staff (doormen, maintenance staff, reception, leasing company) are amenable and very responsive. The apartment building is very comfortable with large rooms. Make sure to get a renovated apartment. The gym and business center are quite poor, but there are new ones underway and planned to open in 2015. The location is great and the apartments are spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this building.

A great location and value if you don't mind having a slightly outdated apartment. Management is friendly and easy to deal with.

Pros:
- The best location in Philly's Center City in my opinion. Close to everything e.g. supermarket, shops and restaurants.
- Feel safe around the area
- Rittenhouse Square park is in front of the building. Very nice during the weekend when there is farmers' market
- Bus stop to school is just across the street
- All utilities included in the rent (extremely convenient)
- Big Wharton community in the building. Easy to share cab to school in the morning

Cons:
- Gym is tiny and located in the bad part of the building
- No common room
- Building management is extremely difficult
