Best location! There's some street noise living on the 3rd floor but you get used to it. Amenities include gym (too small but some people use it), business center with free printer, doorman and roof terrace. They are building a whole floor of amenities with gym, kitchen, conference center, fire place, etc. which is promised to be finished by Spring 2015. Very excited!

Claridge Studios are great value for money with a great location, amenities and management, especially if you're living by yourself. The only complaint would be for the slow response of the leasing office and the delayed construction of a business lounge in the building.

I had the hardest time tracking down the leasing agents to secure my lease. Their "waitlist" is a bunch of BS - if you really want to live here, you need to be persistent and follow up with the staff frequently. However since moving in, I have no complaints about the doormen or maintenance team. I have a dog and there are ~30 other dog owners in the building that I know of. Location is great for social purposes, and you can't beat the view of the city (press for an apartment with a view of Rittenhouse Sq if getting a 1 bedroom). I wish there was a grocery store closer. I take the trolley on 19th & Market to campus as it is faster than the bus, particularly in the winter. I wish the laundry situation was better (currently only 1 washer/dryer on each floor, with about 10 machines on the 3rd floor). Management is re-doing the commons areas (gym, business center) and will supposedly be ready in Spring 2015.

Great place to live right in the middle of the city. Easy to get to school and only a few steps from the nearest bus station. Management is a little inflexible, but other than that a great place to live!

The Claridge is one of the more social and affordable doorman high-rise options in Rittenhouse, but you really pay for the location. The management company is unresponsive and will nickel and dime you for the smallest things (late rent payments, lock outs, move-in and move-out fees, etc.). Improvement projects will go way past deadline - I was told when signing my lease over the summer of 2013 that there would be a revamped gym by spring 2014; construction is still ongoing as we approach year-end. You're theoretically not allowed to sublet, but everyone does. If you're willing to live a bit off the square, you can find comparable amenities at a much better price.

Not the nicest building you can find but you can find some great value apartments.

The unit we got is very spacious and we got it for a great rent. The doormen are alert and remember everyone's names. The maintenance is responsive to all requests. They also throw holiday gatherings and one-off celebrations which are nice additions. The only complaint is some ceiling has been flaking off and maintenance has been slow in responding to it. Also the gym is small ans supposed to have been upgraded a while ago, but its free and included in the rent.

PROS: Very convenient location right along Rittenhouse Square Park. Friendly doormen, staff and neighbors. Spacious rooms with renovated kitchens. CONS: Management very slow to respond to requests.

All of the staff in the building are wonderful except for the people in the leasing office. While painful to deal with up front when signing the lease, it is well worth it to be in this building. They are upgrading the amenities next year with a brand new, larger gym, movie theater, and conference room.

A lot of Whartonites. Rental office is not very responsive. Better talk to them in person than through emails. Try to get a renovated room, much better than the old ones.
