Loft Review
Its a beautiful refurbished loft in West Loop. The commute to campus is not bad, I take the green/pink line to State/Lake and then either walk (12 min) or take a bus on Michigan Ave and the total commute is ~25 minutes. When the weather is nice, I ride my bike and the commute is ~12 minutes. The commute is worth it if you want to live in a great area of Chicago, rent is expensive so you will have to live with roomates.

Plenty of space but lacks amenities
Our unit has been great in terms of space - we came from a large home in Texas and were able to fit most of our furniture. It's in a great location in the West Loop with easy access to the El and plenty of restaurants. Sound from neighbors is an issue and I wish we had a balcony or rooftop access. Also, no amenities as it's a renovated loft space.
