Riverwest Condos
Great place to live. The rent is affordable (depending on the owner of the condo) even though its a coveted location right in downtown. So many restaurants and stores nearby with Trader Joe's as a great bonus. Great package pickup service at the front desk along with friendly staff. Lobby was newly renovated as are many of the units.

Living at Riverwest
Picked this place mainly for the convenience of it's location. Very close to University City but still in Center City where a lot of the great bars and restaurants are. The studio I rent is a good size for an individual, price is ok. I really like the common room areas on the first floor. They come in handy for studying or meeting up with a friend. Getting packages is pretty safe and haven't had problems with the quick elevators!

Riverwest Studio
The studio that I rented is privately owned condo. I thought that unit itself was very well maintained. Issues with the water/plumbing and leaky refrigerator, etc. However, the building itself is maintained just fine. People come to clean it regularly. The laundry situation can be annoying though. Mostly because you have to buy a laundry card and the machine doesn't accept $1 bills.

Close and Affordable!
River West is so close to campus and right on transportation and bus lines! For the location, it's very affordable and the front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming! Nice to have a gym on the premises and so many restaurants in the area and even in the building!

Good value
I really like my apartment given what I pay for it. Each experience in Riverwest is fairly unique however because most people rent from individual landlords who own that condo unit. My studio was renovated right before I moved in so I haven't had any pest issues. Others have. The layout is also pretty decent for a studio and has a lot of storage space.

Great location and value but you get what you pay for
Riverwest has a great location and it's probably the most affordable option in Center City. However, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. We've had horrible false fire alarms go off once a month since I moved here!

Good value for money
Riverwest apartments vary in quality based on the owner. My apartment was well maintained. The building is not great but its great value for money.

Great value, needs upgrading
Great value for your money, but an older builder that needs new and more washer & dryers, and the parking in the building is pricey. Does have a nail salon attached, as well as a pizza place and bar. Staff is friendly.

Great value
Pros: best value for building with doorman, great location (very near bus stop, trolley stop and Trader Joe's), spacious
Cons: old building, heat is centralized so it's hard to control, fire alarm has a tendency to go off unnecessarily

Fitler Square Reviews
That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
Cons: Trader Joe's is the only real grocery store here and may have limited selection for those looking for a supermarket; not as quiet or "neighborhood-y" as other areas, as it is in the heart of downtown; there is a freight train that runs along the river that can be loud, though I got used to it quickly
