Great value
Happy with the value I'm getting out of my studio.
24 hour doorman, gym, great location, all utilities, lots of closet space. I was lucky to have a kind landlord who totally renovated my unit before I moved in.
Cons: Too much heat in the winter (fortunately you're not paying for it), management service is fast but not the most professional, no common lounge space, fire alarm goes off occasionally an is ear-wrenching (I'm not usually home when it does).
If you're on a tight budget, but want amenities and location, this is the place to be.

Low-cost and very comfortable
Well located, clean, organized.
Riverwest isn't luxurious, but it is very comfortable.

Great value, needs upgrading
Great value for your money, but an older builder that needs new and more washer & dryers, and the parking in the building is pricey. Does have a nail salon attached, as well as a pizza place and bar. Staff is friendly.

Great value
The Riverwest is an older condo building, but its in an outstanding location and the rent for my unit was extremely affordable.

Great location
We have a great apartment in a great location! We have a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on Chestnut St. There is a lot going on around us, and a lot being built. Our apartment building is also pet friendly which is nice. The elevators are down a lot, the hallways aren't always a nice temperature, and some of the staff isn't the best, but other than that, it's great.

Grad students galore!
Riverwest Condos is certainly not the flashiest building on the block, but for the money I can't imagine a much better deal. My roommate and I have a considerable amount of space and the proximity to gym facilities, Trader Joe's, and all the nightlife options in Center City makes this incredibly convenient. School is approximately a 15-20 minute walk or a short trolley ride away. The building management is very friendly, but the actual units are individually owned so be sure to check out your landlord for quality control.

Doorman on a Budget
Riverwest has been a good place to live if you want to be near Rittenhouse in a doorman building without the $$$$ pricetag of other condo buildings on the Square. The units are all individually-owned, so they can be hit or miss. Do your homework and you can find some great deals. Aside from the occasional fire alarm or clanking pipe (in the winter), the building is not too bad.

Great location, a little overpriced
These are all individually owned condos so your experience may depend on your landlord and how willing they are to renovate. My apartment was clean with hardwood floors. Old appliances but all functional (no dishwasher or garbage disposal, but other units may have these). There's a "gym" on the second floor with a handful of treadmills and elliptical machines and a very limited set of weight machines, but it works for a cold day or if you're too lazy to actually go to the Penn gym. Laundry is in the basement downstairs, usually pretty easy to find machines. Door staff members are nice, they hold packages which is great for a student's schedule. Though my 400 sq ft studio was small and on the expensive side, the ease of not having to pay any utilities other than internet and the location made up for it.

Riverwest building
Great building to live in. There is a person at the front desk who will accept packages for you. There is a small gym on the 2nd floor, plenty of washers/dryers on the first floor and basement. Great location next to bus stop and close to trolley line and Trader Joe's, Rittenhouse Square, etc.
Only complaint is that the building is old, built decades ago, and some stuff is outdated, such as the steam heating. This makes winters pretty unpleasant because the heating can only be turned to one setting and often makes the room 85-90 degrees. But opening the windows, turning on A/C helps solve this issue and it really only affects the months of Dec.-Feb.

Fitler Square Reviews
That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
