Good location, OK building

Pros: great location, walking distance to UH and right on the bus line to get to the HEC and CCF. Food and groceries in walking distance. Safe and well lit; there's always people around. Staff at the office are nice. Washer/dryer in unit. Garage parking available (though $100 extra).

Cons: Large management company can be difficult to deal with. Very slow at responding to resident concerns; for example, the door to get into the building was broken for months and was not fixed for a long time despite safety/package theft concerns. Other than the convenience of the location, you don't really get your money's worth for the rent (versus other new buildings in the area like Centric, One University Circle, etc.) Not much in the way of common spaces, exercise equipment, or other amenities. Even though the buildings are only 10 years old, the construction quality was not the best -- lots of things break easily. Siren noise from the street at all hours.

Overall, a great and safe location, but not the best value for the price.

Good apartment

I've had a great experience with management here. It's expensive but worth it.

Uptown Review

The apartment is really modern and a great place to live in. Management is receptive to emails and I have not had any problems with maintenance. The area around the apartment has lots of restaurants and is very close to campus. The only thing I don't like is the price because it seems a bit high compared to apartments around here, and sometimes their utility bills can be surprisingly high.

Uptown Apartments Review

The location is hard to beat, especially since the HealthLine bus runs 24/7 down Euclid and goes straight to the HEC. The management is pretty good about responding to maintenance requests.

Great location

Can't really beat the location. Lots of food options and grocery store near by. Close walk to UH and old school (~10min) and walkable to CCF and new school (~25min). Parking is not cheap, but it allows you to park at the old school after normal business hours for free.

Great location

Very quiet (except for sirens) but otherwise can't hear any other residents. Good location with good food (Chipotle, Panera, Bibibop, Jimmy Johns, Mitchell's Ice Cream, Indian Flame, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, small grocery store, and more). Close walking distance to school. Parking is separate cost. Has treadmill and elliptical on each floor.

Best location for business or law students

The location is awesome for me, since it takes only 5-minute walk to the school and 7-minute walk to the library. There's a supermarket across the street and a MOCA just nearby. It's safe because we need a key to enter the door of the building. The management is good and responsive. The price may be a little bit high compared with the other apartments, but it remains an average price level among the apartments which enjoy the similar awesome location. The price is the only concern I have while I'm thinking of renting for the following year.

Convenient Location

It is a very convenient location for food and last minute groceries as well as walking distance to hospital and CWRU campus. Our apartment is nice and spacious (but I know some apartments can run small). Washer and dryer in unit is great and treadmill down the hall is nice if you just need to go for a quick run. Maintenance can sometimes take awhile, and call button for guests downstairs does not seem to work. Management changes frequently and is not super helpful. Can not hear any neighbors. Cement walls are solid!

Getting around University Circle

University Circle Reviews

97 reviews
The neighborhood mostly consists of students and professionals and is in close proximity to the Little Italy neighborhood.
Love being close to school and lots of food options nearby.
Great place to live with lots of places to eat and cultural amenities like the art museum and orchestra. Easy to get to campus/the hospitals without having to drive. Biggest con is that the only grocery store is very expensive.
The building is in between two large hospitals, Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, making it very easy for me to get to class/rotations. It is generally safe. The Case Western Reserve University police and Cleveland Clinic patrol the area almost constantly, and I have always felt secure. Additionally, I am close to museums, coffee shops, libraries, bars, and nice places to eat, study, and hang out.
It's a wonderful neighborhood - walking distance to all the museums, botanical gardens, and some of the best restaurants in Cleveland. Also walking distance to a couple coffee shops and the CWRU library and student center, so ideal for studying. The best part: < 5 min commute to school and you get to avoid Cedar coming down the hill.
Living in University Circle while in law school has made a stressful experience pleasant and less complicated. The walk to campus (which is in University Circle) is fabulous - not having to battle hospital traffic and find parking is great. There's a Constantino's Market that provides all grocery needs. University Circle has a diverse range of food options - from upscale dining at L'Albatros, to comfort food in Little Italy, to fast casual in Uptown, you could probably eat somewhere different every night for a month, all within walking distance.

University Circle is THE hub for cultural activity in Cleveland. The Cleveland Museum of Art is my favorite place in the Circle. It has fabulous permanent exhibits and brings in wonderful temporary exhibitions. The museum hosts social events that are perfect for young people more than once a month. The Circle also contains Severance Hall - home of the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and more!

The area is fairly safe as it is heavily patrolled by UCPD and Campus Police. Ambulances frequent the area to get to the hospital, but that is the only noise complaint I've ever heard of.

I couldn't be happier about living right in University Circle during law school.
There's always places to eat or grab some groceries nearby and is close to campus. Meaning there's also lots of shuttles in walking distance to get where you need to go.
neighbors are friendly, though due to the location and the vast majority of the people living in the building are working or going to school, rarely see neighbors. The most active time with people in the building are on Friday nights through Saturday night.
