Cheap, Convenient, and Nice

The apartment is very nice and the location is fantastic. The inclusion of all utilities and a low rent makes this places cost almost impossible to beat.

The only bad part is that you are only allowed one parking spot per apartment even if it is a two bedroom. You can apply for a second spot, but this is not guaranteed and likely will not be at your specific building if you do get it.

Baity Hill

I don't have any complaints about Baity Hill. The staff is responsive, it is a family community, close to campus and very comfortable apartments.

Great option for families close to campus

The location and price are the best aspects of renting at Baity Hill. It is right next to school and is probably the best value when you consider that utilities are included.

Maintenance issues were all resolved quickly.

The size is a bit small for a family with 2 or more children.

Everything is great and simple

Everything is simple. Everything works, when it doesn't, it is immediately fixed. The rate is very competitive, and includes everything you may need, from water and electricity to wifi and cable tv.
It should allow pets to be perfect. A pool would also be handy. It is close to school, but further away from Franklin. P2P fixes that though.

Great living experience

Good property management keeps daily maintenance for the buildings and neighborhood. Don’t have to sweep the street in a snowy day! lol
If things go wrong at home, just make a call and maintenance team will come to repair even when you are out of home. Baity Hill provides free package pick up management so you don’t need to worry about losing what you have ordered online. Laundry is pretty affordable and convenient. It sends mails to remind you of the completion of washing or drying.
The only downside is the limited and a little bit pricey parking lot. There is no store or restaurant within a 30 min walk. So if it’s a weekend or adverse weather day, you have to drive for food or just stay at home since now transit will be available.

Best possible deal

Baity Hill is an excellent place to live. The convenience of living close to the school is enormous. The rent is cheap and includes all you need (cable, internet, utilities, maintenance). The structure of the building is much better than other apartments off-campus. At Baity you will have a building that is not made of wood (less noisy), all buildings have elevator and indoor parking ($500 per year - also cheaper than most places); these features can only be found in more premium and expensive places off-campus. Really the best possible deal! Come to live at Baity!

Getting around Baity Hill

Baity Hill Reviews

55 reviews
Baity Hill is tucked away on aside Street that comes up next to campus. The only neighborhood is the actual apartment complex which is full of International students or students with families. The normal homes nearby seem calm and safe to walk by. It's a great area being so close to campus.
They are friendly, kind so I feel safe in my apartment.
Some of them are noisy sometimes, but basically, I am not bothered so much.
Love the complex and surrounding area. Very “neighborhoody.” However, very dark at night, not many lights.
Its campus so you get all the benefits but still removed from the undergrads which is really nice.
Quiet, peaceful, easy access to campus, highway and Franklin St
It’s a cute neighborhood to walk around. Feels very safe.
Baity Hill accommodates singles, couples, and families, and the neighborhood is very diverse. There are common areas to meet within the community, and you have great access to different areas of campus. The area is very safe at all hours, with minimal noise. Grocery stores are just a couple of miles away - you can get there by driving, convenient public transit, or the UNC shuttle service.
It's very quiet: mostly graduate students and some families. Very convenient for getting to McColl. It is tucked away in the corner of campus so if you want to walk anywhere, it takes about a mile to get into campus. I would recommend having a car for this neighborhood since there are no grocery stores within walking distance.
