It’s Good

I love being a little further from campus but still walking distance. The gym, pool, and rooftop are great amenities, maintenance requests are always met promptly, and the staff are very friendly. I have had some difficulties with the billing department, as my rent checks are paid through a savings account. There have been multiple instances where they have INSISTED that a check had not been received and refused to double check, only for the payment to then be processed the following week.

Really like my building

We got two months free with our 12 month lease which was really nice. The building has a solid gym (nothing crazy though), ample laundry on the second floor, free printing, and a semi-private office space. There is a small roof area with a great view as well. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to campus and that hasn't been too bad in the winter. The walk is nice in the warmer months. My apartment itself is not the flashiest compared to the newer buildings in streeterville, but I think it's pretty spacious for the price, all the appliances work well and are updated, and no issues with the bathrooms or with pests. There's a good amount of natural light, but few sconces so you will need to buy lamps.

Good deal and close to campus

We live in a nice apartment in a good building about a 15 minute walk to campus. We got a good covid deal making the rent cheaper than what we listed and have found it to be more affordable than some of the buildings close to campus. The building has a gym, pool, hot tub, and business area as well as very responsive management and a person at the front desk 24/7. The biggest downside is that there is no in-unit laundry and there are some weird quirks (ie no oven fan, etc).

100 W. Chestnut

The experience has been great so far! We had signed with a different management company than who owns it now so there has been some communication issues but still enjoying the building. The rooftop is phenomenal and has great views. They recently updated the package system so you receive notifications which is really nice.

No complaints so far

I've lived in my building for one month now and I have no complaints so far! Reasonable price for great location, amenities and dog park right next door. The doorstaff are also very friendly and accommodating, and go above and beyond to make sure residents feel safe.

Great Value for the Location

It's in a great location and convenient to lots of transportation options. Grocery stores are 10 mins walk away and there are some good late night food and bar options too. I think it's inexpensive for the area and you get a full service building with elevators, gym, laundry room, package room, dry cleaner on-premise.

Pleased with my apartment

I like my apartment - great for a roommate setup. Nice finishes, feels safe, neighborhood that is convenient to public transit. I wish that rent was cheaper because other units in my building are more affordable now that the summer is over. Would consider living in this building for another year.

Good Experience

Great location & good experience but not worth the price. Will most likely move further north.

Chestnut Review

Great place to live, the location is perfect, especially if you work in the loop area. Clean building with friendly neighbors! You won't have a boring time living here at all, and if you have a dog it's better! Moody Bible Institute right there too!
