Cozy living with my friends

Finishes are nice and the building feels modern. The leasing office is very friendly and I've enjoyed my experiences with them.

Top location with the best amenities

The Berkshire has been a great place to live. It is within walking distance of grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's and nice restaurants. It's pet friendly, has a decently sized gym, and outdoor pool. The amenities are the nicest I've seen in the area too.

Great place to live

Easy drive down to the Business school. Several grocery stores, food options and department stores within walking distance. Relatively clean apartments with a few amenities. Decent closet and storage space as well.

It's solid

It's really close to the Whole Foods and Trader Joe's which is great and makes it really easy to just walk over there. The apartments are solid and can't complain about the staff.

Great experience

Love my apartment and maintenance always fixes problems in a timely manner. Very secure and safe. Location is convenient to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Harris Teeter along with many restaurants. 10 minute commute to McColl and 7 minutes from downtown Chapel Hill.

Highly Recommend

Amazing property with wonderful staff. Expensive, but I love it and there is a lot of space. Sometimes people complain about the floors/ceilings being thin but I am on the top floor so I do not have issues (and have never had issues with thin walls).

Solid place to live close to amenities

Really good complex. Not too far from downtown Chapel Hill, about a 7 minutes drive to school and walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joes and many other restaurants and stores.

Berkshire CH

Great place to live. Tons of amenities available for residents including gym, pool, study lounge with printer, coffee machine in the lobby and places to hangout in the lobby (socially distanced). The complex also sets up a lot of good events for residents such as free food trucks and breakfast a few times a month. I can definitely tell they want it to be a community when we aren’t in a pandemic.

Great Inside and Out

The Berkshire is located in a great location - walking distance to CAVA, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and a number of fitness studios. There are walking trails for walking and running all which are located in safe Chapel Hill neighborhoods.

The apartments are very nice, including have huge windows, new appliances, and can be "broken up" to feel as though you have multiple living spaces. Only complaint is that the floors are relatively thin, so you can easily hear upstairs neighbors walking around.

Getting around Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill Reviews

It's very quiet: mostly graduate students and some families. Very convenient for getting to McColl. It is tucked away in the corner of campus so if you want to walk anywhere, it takes about a mile to get into campus. I would recommend having a car for this neighborhood since there are no grocery stores within walking distance.
Love being right on Franklin street. Walking distance to football games and tailgates as well as restaurants and bars on Franklin.
Lots of food options around the building. I regularly walk my dog in the area around the apartment.
The neighborhood is mostly for other UNC students.
Carrboro is really cool, if slightly offbeat place to be. Weaver St Market and a bevy of other restaurants/smaller places make it a good food hub. For things going on, there are things like the Carrboro Arts Fest, weekly "Carrboro Street Markets" with lots of vendors, and a flurry of other community-oriented activities.

Have enjoyed my time there.
Lots of stores, gym in neighborhood, church, groceries--basically a little town. Con is that it almost feels a bit "Pleasantville." That said, the Walmart up the road (<2 min) is wonderful as is Fig & Honey and the huge Harris Teeter (<5 min away) in Chatham county. Families and children amidst Med School students and retirees. Great feeling, awesome convenience to UNC and downtown CH. Highly recommend.
Neighborhood feels super safe. Little kids will like the playground on-site. Lots of friends for them to play with. Elementary school (Glenwood) is awesome, if not old. Plenty of community events to meet people and for kids to play. I like it here, and recommend it to most people.
The neighborhood is very convenient for business grad students, however, it is far from everything else. You need to get a car for everything, except going to school. It still compensates, given that uber is cheap in the region and the convenience to go to school is amazing.
