Overall Great Apartment
Overall, Bristol West End has been great. They are a 12-15 min walk to campus and my apartment hasn't had many issues so far. The administration is pretty responsive overall and friendly. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It's a bit pricy but overall, it's been a great experience so far.

Very close to campus, strict HOA
Great location, can walk to campus or take the shuttle. Very nice units. Nice pool, decent gym. Relatively quiet. Most neighbors are med students. The balconies are very small with metal floors, can't sit comfortably and not allowed to have furniture/plants. HOA is strict with decorating, cars, bikes, etc. But keeps the property looking nice

Great building, not great management
Great medical school community, comfortable apartment. We have had trouble with responsiveness of the on-site building manager.

BWE Review
Apartment is close to campus (15 min walk) as well as VUMC shuttle service in the parking lot across from the apartment. Apartments are spacious with hardwood floors, granite countertops, and new appliances. Gym is sufficient but campus gym is 5 min walk for greater facilities. Pool space also has grilling and fire pits for hosting gatherings. Management is responsive but many HOA rules.

Bristol West End
Very clean. Great location. Shuttle service is a lifesaver. Also love how close I am to Vanderbilt’s rec center not to mention the building itself has a small gym, pool, and lounge.

Great Location
the convenience of Bristol cannot be beat. You are a short walk or shuttle ride away from the hospital, which especially during clerkship year when you have a 4AM surgery start time is huge. It has a pool and small gym and lots of medical students live there to socialize. The one downside is it is a building with a bit of a stickler manager, and breaking apartment rules carries hefty fines. If you read rules ahead of time and are a respectful neighbor, though, should not be an issue.

Bristol West End
Bristol West End is a great place to live.
It is very close to the medical school building (less than a 10 min walk). It is also right next to a shuttle that goes to and from the medical school building.
The building is nice but nothing overly special. There is a pool and a gym and they are decent.
Apartments are nice but on the more expensive side.
Also a lot of medical students live in the complex which is nice.

Convenient!
Close to campus. Nice amenities. Lots of fellow classmates that live in the building.

Great for med students
The building is close to campus, quiet, clean, and well-managed. A large portion of our class lives in this building, so it is easy to meet up with them for studying or other events. Walking to class takes about 12 minutes, or the bus can be even faster during peak hours when they're running super regularly.
Gym is so-so, but it's great to have it at all, and the vandy rec center is only a few minute walk away anyways.
