The Morgan Review
Good gym and pool, and convenient that lots of classmates live there. But definitely not the nicest apartment units themselves.

Great Apartment for the price
My fiance and I have really enjoyed our experience at the Morgan. It's a great apartment with updated kitchen and bathrooms. A ton of other UNC MBA and grad students live here so there's alway something happening. We love the two dog parks and the pretty landscaping. We have experienced some bugs during the warmer months, as in most places in the South, and the location is not on any of the bus lines so you have to drive everywhere. Overall we have enjoyed our stay here.

Great place for families and graduate students
I've really enjoyed my time here so far. I was worried about living on the first floor because that could lead to a bug problem, but I am happy to say that I haven't seen a roach since the first day I moved in.
The pool is great while it's warm, and there are good running routes around the complex. The neighborhoods that surround the complex are nice and safe. The gym is a nice amenity but only has one free weight rack, which is hard to use during peak hours. Also, dumbells/kettlebells only go up to 50lbs. Outside of that, it has everything you could want.

Does all the things and lots of other MBAs live there
Everything is solid and there’s good building management. It’s also nice to regularly see other MBAs here and it has its benefits of being near others in the program. Why am 8 instead of a 10 - there is no walkability to anything - you need to drive everywhere from it and there is traffic on raleigh road to school everyday. I would not recommend biking from here either

Meh
The property is decent and the tenants are great. Apartments are dated, and the renovated ones have issues - major door gaps, cockroaches, etc.

Good Place to Live Near Campus
The Morgan hosts a lot of MBA students. The pool is great and the gym pretty spacious. Apartment has a lot of storage and good soundproofing. Its close to campus, but you must drive.

Really great apartment for the price!
The Morgan is a great apartment complex. My rent was only $600 for the smallest room which still fits a full sized bed (not including utilities and internet). The apartment is external entry and has a parking lot, which makes getting in/out really fast, which I appreciate. The only drawback is that it it's about an 18 min drive from the Science Drive Lot and can be a bit far from the events in Downtown Durham, but considering how much there is to do in Chapel Hill, I don't mind the drive. Not the best with public transport, would definitely have to drive everywhere.

Love The Morgan!
My husband and I love living at The Morgan. Coming from a house before moving to Chapel Hill, we were shocked by how spacious and quiet our unit is. The amenities offered are great, and all of our interactions with Morgan staff (front office, maintenance, etc.) have been fantastic!

Great living experience!
The Morgan is a great place to live while in MBA School. Typically, a good group of MBA students live at the Morgan (or the Morgan Reserve), making it a fun place for social events. It is close to school and downtown, but also feels like you get a "break" from Chapel Hill. If you want a place that is in the center of it all, don't choose the Morgan. The maintenance staff and leasing office are fabulous and very responsive.
