Overall rating 7.9/10, based on 111 renter reviews Write a review
main complaints are that complex is pretty far from any restaurants/bars/shops, bad issue with bugs (especially with warm weather), old appliances that often break and take a long time to get repaired, management can be rude

Very happy with The Morgan
The Morgan has been a great place to live while at UNC. Moving from a city, it was an adjustment to not be in walking distance to everything. But the Morgan is right next to a gas station and 5 min from a grocery store, restaurants, and the gym I use. Overall, it's a really nice community with nice units.

Poor upkeep, lack of management care...better options around
Simply put: you don't get a lot of value.
Spend $30 on trash collection that comes whenever they feel like it (and picks up whenever they wish). Then get slapped fees by the complex when they fail to pick up.
Have constantly fly issues and bugs outside the complex.
Deal with walls with bumps and bruises that likely will get charged for in not documenting the apartment fully before occupying. It was masked with paint before occupying, but I can tell their existence now moving in.
Staff doesn't really care about issues and complaints.
Oh, and you're screwed if you get locked out of the apartment since there's no lockout at all after 5pm...and that's just weekdays.
Go to Alta Blu instead.

Great Apartments at Reserve
We like our large one bedroom at the Reserve side of the Morgan. The landscaping is nice and the units are much more secluded. The apartment is newer and in good order. A downside is distance to public transit however.

1st Year MBA Experience
Nice community, however as a student this is more on the pricey side. $1214 a month does not include any utilities. Renters insurance is also required so monthly you average around $1400 a month. There are other cheaper areas around town with the same amenities.

The Morgan Review
Highly Recommend

Gets the job done, but nothing special
Apartment is spacious and amenities (gym, pool, plentiful parking) are nice. Access to shared outdoor grills also a bonus. Unit itself is not well laid out (kitchen too small, lack of ceiling lights). Service has been unreliable (broken heater/AC three times in 18 months, patchwork fix on leaking window). Floors in unit are uneven in places. Utility pricing is VERY expensive ($175/month in summer), suggesting poor insulation.

Good value, especially with lots of other MBA students here
Good value (at least for a double). Comfortable. Decent-sized gym and pool. Harris Teeter is close by. Probably the best part is that a lot of other MBA students live here as well. So carpooling isn't a problem. Downside: not really walking distance to Teeter/restaurants.

Safe pick, nice amenities
Nice place, safe pick if you have to find a place without seeing it, but there are better options for your money.

No Complaints
Not bad for the price and I bike around campus which isn't too bad at all.
