Fantastic apartment!
I’ve had a great experience at Troubadour. The amenities are amazing, the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the maintenance team is quick and easy to work with. Truly couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Trouts Review
The apartment is nice and the building hosts a lot of events for residents. However, it is expensive compared to other apartments in the area and there have been some car break-ins and thefts in common areas (e.g. mailroom, bike room).

Became a frat house in the past year
I liked Troubadour at first enough to resign for another year, but it is no longer worth the hassle or the rent. They had been really dog-friendly but did a complete 180 after a management change earlier in the year. They'd advertised a dog park and, when asked about it after the change in dog policies, removed it from their website and said they wouldn't be completing that project.
When I first moved here it was mostly grad students and young families, but I think they've been advertising to undergrads. It's become a bit of a frat house. The parties are very loud and endless.
The pool is really nice, and if you like partying and hate dogs, it'll be a great fit in its current form. I hope management changes tracks on their target audience, because the location is great for grad students, but the current culture is too young and too crazy for how much I'm paying to live here.

The Best for UT Grad Students
This is an excellent choice for Texas graduate students to be in a safe area close to campus. The amenities are excellent, and the property staff are attentive, helpful, and thoughtful. There is plenty of space in the parking garage.

Pretty great actually, new management is a step down though.
Very nice shared spaces and doesn't seem to be much noise through the walls. Only major gripe is that they don't just put a tag on your car for the garage. We've had issues with theft and propery damage in the garage because of cars following others in or being let in by residents - so on gamedays or weekends, the garage is suddenly maxed out with randos. I've lived in two other places that just put a tag on your car and it's way better than this system. Also, please put some trash cans in the garage, super easy (and cheap) way to avoid trash everywhere.
