Lydian review
The Lydian is very convenient to walk to school but is really expensive. Maintenance can be hit or miss.

Convenient
The best part about the Lydian is the convenience to Rush. It is also clean and secure and has a nice gym.

The Lydian
I've lived at The Lydian for two years now. First off it's proximity to campus can't be beat. It's always convenient to run home on a lunch break rather than having to stay at rush all day (also in the cold winters the short commute is a plus). My first year here was a 10/10 between the nice staff, pool, gym, etc. but I will say in the past year I have noticed a slight decline when it comes to the building. There is inconsistent front desk concierge now (it use to be 24/7 and reliable) and there are more people smoking marijuana in the building which is a common complaint (just depends on your luck with who your neighbors are). I would say these have been my only two complaints and both started happening pretty recently. I am moving next year because of cost but I would still recommend living at The Lydian.

Very nice
Lots of amenities. It’s close to blue line, 7, 50, and 126 bus. I haven’t had any issues so far.

Excellent
Really great experience! Apartment building is very clean and leasing office is very helpful and timely. Random but has very very good temperature control.

The Lydian
Great management and amenities. Close to campus and convenient. Haven’t had any complaints-little on the pricey side but I’m happy with it and will stay.

Expensive, Overcrowded, with cheap product
We moved here as it was close to work. The parking garage is >$250 for a spot that has a dangerous right corners with blind spots to get through. The gym is always crowded and too small for the number of people. The paint in the apartment is so bad is stains with breathing on it. The appliances, especially the washer and dryer are the cheapest model possible. There is always too much lint that collects everywhere on the door and the washer manages to snag/twist/damage clothes. The floor tiles are snap installed and sometimes "unsnap". For the price and the amount of space, it is not worth it. For the crappy parking, dirty crowed gym, not worth it. Will be moving out shortly. The pet smells in the elevator is nauseating. The pet smells in the hallways also horrible. The maintenance and front desk are the only decent part of the building. The guy manager is dismissive of problems and a bit condescending.

Love the Lydian
Although they are pretty pricey- I love the location to be able to get on the blue line to get to work. I like the safety of having concierge and living next to the medical center. If I’m hungry- I’m able to walk close by to grab food as well
