Clean, convenient building with good amenities

I really enjoy this apartment. They have a lot of different floor plans, and mine is pretty spacious for someone living with just a pet. There is in unit washer/dryer and dishwasher, a responsive maintenance team, and a helpful management team as well. Parking is expensive (but average for the area overall), but very close to several different metro and bus lines (8 minute walk for the metro, three minutes for the Circulator) with easy commute to campus. There's also a grocery store a short walk away, a farmer's market every Saturday right outside, and a pretty wide selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Location, professionals, rooftop

The location is perfect, just a few blocks to Judiciary Square metro stop or Gallery Place. All the staff are extremely professional. Amenities are top tier, two gyms, two pools, large rooftop with views.

Great Place

This is a great apartment, good location, nice concierges. I have lived here for 2 years and generally no complaints. I would like if they didn't increase the rent, which is annoying, but rent in DC is expensive so that's expected when you live in a bldg.

Close to Public Transit

Great location, no need for a car. Close to the Verison Center and Chinatown. There are many bars and restaurants close by. There is little street parking and would advise to not have a car unless you want to pay for underground parking.

Perfect location and nice amenities

Ii wanted to live in this building since i first discovered it last year, and i honestly love everything about it. They host little events for each holiday, and hold all of our packages which is really nice. The appliances are GE Profile, so they are nice. We also have granite countertops which most apartments do not have.

you will not regret living here

Great building. Maintenance is fast and effective. Amenities are nice though concierges could be a little better about responsiveness, package notifications, etc. People are friendly. Gym is adequate. Apartments themselves are really nice with high quality new appliances.

Great building in great location

The amenities here are good: gym, rooftop deck with two pools, etc. Service is great, repair and maintenance requests have been fulfilled in a timely fashion. Close to metro and lots of entertainment around Chinatown. Zipcars in the building's parking garage are a huge plus. Overall great!

Great location, great value

I've been at this apartment for half a year now and I'm a big fan. I love the gym and the rooftop, and the location near Chinatown is awesome. Also, the staff is very responsive to questions or concerns. Even better, maintenance requests get done very quickly. The utilities tend to be on the high side, but overall, I'm very happy here.

Great apartment for value

This is a great place to live. The front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming. I love the hardwood floors and nice finished kitchen. Feels like a home and not a high-rise apartment. Lots of young people live in the building and the rooftop is amazing in the summer.

Mount Vernon Square Reviews

I love the location - pretty close to everything you want - shopping, entertainment, restaurants, bars, public transportation, etc. I also like the residential feel of the area, unlike apartment buildings down in Chinatown. Unfortunately, there is some higher rates of car break ins and robberies in the neighborhood, due to a relatively affluent population adjacent to lower income areas. Additionally, there has been a crackdown on prostitution in the area - I saw a few women in the early morning hours, and I am glad the police are focusing on this issue. Other than the normal problems of lack of parking, a very attentive police team writing tickets, I love the area!
As previously mentioned, the neighborhood is great with lots going on, tons of restaurants and the Safeway right next door. Super accessible to everything, especially since we're a 5 minute walk from the Gallery Place metro (red line).
I really love Mount Vernon Square as a neighborhood. It is really close to the national mall, great restaurants, shopping, and you have access to multiple different metro lines.
Lots of restaurants, multiple grocery stores nearby and right near 14th street. Metro is a bit limited outside of the green and yellow line but bus lines are very accessible
Safe area close to Chinatown to the east (union station past that) and then 14th street corridor to the west (dupont past that). You can walk almost anywhere in NW DC.
The area is growing so quickly! New restaurants and buildings are popping up all the time. It's also very easy to get any part of the city from the neighborhood.
I enjoy having tons of restaurants and bars around---from neighborhood pubs, to fast casual restaurants, to sit down joints, to cafes. There's a lots to like.
#1 way to describe living downtown/mt vernon square is convenience. There's a 24 hour Safeway, I can walk nearly everywhere, and always feel safe walking.
