The Plaza on Brickell

Great experience so far. Our unit has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water and Brickell Key which really make you feel like you are a part of Miami. It was important to us that there be a unique feel to the apartment (as opposed to many others we saw that were kind of boring with a regular shaped living room with two relatively equal sized bedrooms). The place we found is perfect for that, as there is clearly a master bedroom which is spectacular and a 2nd bedroom that we have for when guests visit. The amenities (gym, pool, restaurants) are better than the average Brickell high-rise though no match for the Icon which is a few blocks away. We rent directly from the owner, which so far has been a good experience with no issues.

By the way, we were able to negotiate rent down by $250/mo from the asking price. I'd recommend giving this a shot, particularly if you find a place that is spectacular but a bit more than you were looking to spend.
