Quiet Spot a Short Drive from Campus

Alden Place has been really great as a married student with a kid. There are two nice pools, the management is easy to work with, and maintenance requests get taken care of very quickly. There are lots of areas to walk around, and the complex is conveniently right by the freeway. Several shopping centers are in the area and it is a 5-7 minute drive from Duke.

Living Experience at Alden Place

Its location is good to be close to supermarkets such as Sam's, Target, Harris Teeter and LiMing. I recommend students who have a car or plan to buy a car to live here, because without a car, it is not very convenient to go from it to school.
The community has a swimming pool and gym, and the kitchen is fully equipped. If some maintenance issues were reported on the system, and usually someone will come to deal with it the next day.

Alden Place - great for families or young couples!

Alden Place is very roomy and clean. Management is communicative and helpful when needed. A few cockroaches here and there but that is expected, overall the apartments are very nice. I would say this complex is best for young families or couples. It’s in a very safe area. There is also a pool and gym available on-site.

Alden Place

Overall great experience at Alden Place! A little older and not as luxurious as other places in the area, but apartment is very spacious and is a good quality for price. Price increases in rent each year are common but management is responsive and gave better appliances in exchange for higher rent

Great Value Apartment

Alden Place is an excellent place to live if you are looking for a cheaper option that is still nice. The amenities in each apartment could use some work/updating, but they are worth the lower rent and the apartment has a whole lot of floor space and closet space which is also great. Some other maintenance issues but management is always very responsive. Overall would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a solid value apartment.

Perfect If You Want to Live Alone Affordably

Alden is the perfect apartment for law students/graduate students who want to not have roommates but still pay an affordable rent. About a 10 minute drive to the law school. Sometimes 15 minute drive back when there is traffic backed up from the Science Drive garage. I have a balcony, walk-in closet, stainless steel appliances, fireplace, designated office area. The complex has a gym and pool with a barbecue area which was really fun to use on Labor Day. Also, pretty quiet and have never felt unsafe.
