River Oaks

Pleasant Living
Near the city of Houston lies a quaint and relaxed neighborhood called River Oaks. Living in the River Oaks Area offers residents a comfortable, suburban feel, which attracts many Houston law and grad students, young professionals and families. With plenty of stores for those who crave shopping and upscale eateries, River Oaks is full of things to do. On the north side of town, River Oaks Country Club draws golfers and other club members hoping to relax and kickback. There are two parks within River Oaks, Levy Park, and Spotts Park, which offer peaceful scenes for people to enjoy - a perfect respite for days when the weather is nice - which is more often than not. Restaurants the locals of River Oaks highly recommend include Maggiano's Little Italy, Frank's Americana Revival & White Star Bar, Zoës Kitchen, and Seasons 52. The town offers a great bar scene, many of which include live music entertainment. Some popular spots include The Owl Bar, The Cellar Bar, The Railyard Houston, and The Tuck Room.

With great schools, restaurants, parks, and bars - River Oaks is a great place to live if one is looking for the perfect combination of a laid-back atmosphere and fun things to do.

Rice Military is very conveniently located for commutes inside and out of the loop! It has a combination of age groups and is safe and pleasant. There are trails and it's very close to Memorial Park, so great for outdoor activities.

Apartment is 5 minutes from everything - Montrose/Washington night life, Rice Village, and still maintains a small neighborhood feel. Bus #25 runs directly to campus and stops only a block away.

It's close enough to all the places I need or want to go to on a regular basis in Houston, but I probably would not walk around by myself even in the daytime (partly due to the lack of places I'm interesting in going within walking distance).

Thankfully the building has 2FA in that a key fob is required to even go up the elevator or enter a floor from the stairwell.
