Trinity

I love living at Trinity! I've lived here for 2 years and honestly have no complaints. Maintenance is responsive, they host fun events in the lobby and courtyards, it's a 10 minute walk to the medical school, and it's safe. The units are beautiful, spacious, and well-designed. It's a nice apartment complex while still having a cozy feel.

Trinity Commons at Erwin

Pros: 10 minute walk to Duke Medical Campus. Covered Parking. Community of medical students. 5 minute drive to downtown.

Cons: Price. Large Complex. Occasional cockroach problems, but that is similar to the majority of apartment complexes in Durham.

Convenient

Trinity Commons is a quick walk to campus, staff are friendly and responsive, we have been happy with maintenance work. Amenities are nice (pool, gym). It is more expensive than other apartments in the area. Lots of takeout places nearby. On a very busy road, not a very pretty area but can easily go for walks or runs on campus. The area feels very safe during the day though I avoid going out alone at night.

Great Apartment

Great location (walking distance to medical school and hospital), lots of amenities (gym, common areas, working spaces, pool), and great leasing agents/ property management staff.

Very nice place to live!

Great place to live! Love the staff and how easy it is to walk to the medical school and the hospital. Pretty nice gym . Also they are pet friendly. Only cons are that Trinity is more expensive than apartments farther away and that you have to pay $30 a month for a trash valet service.

Very convenient, safe, and nice

I love living at trinity commons because of its proximity to campus and ammenities. I love having a gym and pool in the building as well as parking. The staff are responsive and helpful. The one thing that I don't love is that the floors 1-3 have poor cellphone service and calls/messages can only be sent with wifi.

Best place for Med School

Trinity Commons is excellent. I love knowing my property managers and I actually did an intragram takeover for them. The social spaces at trinity are really great (outdoor deck, 3 different outdoor courtyards, a large tv lounge for movie nights), they have an amazing gym that I use almost every day, and I can walk to school which is a HUGE plus, and I don't have to pay for Duke parking. My rent is 1265 for a gigantic room, which is really nice since I lived in Boston before and paid much more for a lot less.

Luxury living close to campus

My experience at Trinity Commons has been very pleasant. The amenities—including a well-equipped gym, a pool, hot tubs, sauna, outdoor grill, package system—make your busy life easier. The apartments themselves are great. Work orders are fulfilled quickly. Administration is super nice and listens to your concerns.

Can be a little sketchy sometimes but I sacrifice that for being close to the hospital. Usually try to avoid walking alone at night but have done it plenty of times after staying late in the hospital or having to get there at 4 AM and have never had any issues. A nice selection of food/drink options just down the street!
Very convenient to the hospital and campus (walking distance) and some chain restaurants with a few local spots, but overall not a very interesting neighborhood. Very bike-able to 9th st area, less so to downtown but still only about a 20-min bike ride
Very close to campus, extremely convenient to the hospital. Many students live in the complexes nearby. Some food options, but no real "neighborhood." The main attraction is that it's as close to living on campus as you can get off campus.
Great that the neighborhood is so close to the hospital which is great for me as a student. The apartment complex is close to a bus stop / a pretty loud street which sometimes has some noise but overall no major issues.
Mostly apartments. Conveniently located to Duke and hospitals, plenty of amenities on Hillsborough Road, though if you want good food you may need to drive a bit.
Not the safest place, but the apartment complex has a garage so you don't need to walk outside at night. So close to the medical school/convenient.
safe neighborhood. We haven't had much crime and Trinity Properties has an annual safety meeting to give helpful tips on safety for the area.
Close to campus, but few grocery store and dining options in the immediate area. Biggest perk is proximity and that's really it.
